coffeewithmrsaturn 100 Member ·
I'm wondering if you have any recommendations for this service or if any members here do it and what the price is. Where do you guys go to get save batteries replaced for Pokemon games? How about internal batteries for clock-based events? Thanks so much! Gloves 10,337 Administrator ·
I do it, but no point sending em to me cuz canada. That said, honest truth, it's incredibly easy - I might suggest doing it yourself.
Deadeye 1,564 Homebrew Team ·
@coffeewithmrsaturn do you mean replace the battery while maintaining any existing save files? Or just a straight battery replacement?
coffeewithmrsaturn 100 Member ·
@Deadeye just a straight battery replacement I was under the impression there is minor soldering required (or something along those lines) and it's not a matter of just popping a new one in. Deadeye 1,564 Homebrew Team ·
@coffeewithmrsaturn that is correct. Just making sure you didn't need the saves kept. Then you need keep the power going while you solder on the new battery.
Gloves 10,337 Administrator ·
Yes, the process includes some very simple soldering. Remove existing solder > Remove battery > Place new battery > Place new solder

Magus 169 Member ·
Do yourself a favor and however you get them done, make sure they use good batteries. The crap batteries flooded on ebay and amazon are junk. IME at least. Use good panasonic batteries from here if you can.https://console5.com/store/catalogsearch/result/?q=battery 1
