Estil | 1,265
And why the NES you might ask? Because during our what would've been our big Sweet Sixteen anniversary celebration we were going to play NES together for the first time (she was in a nursing home 30-40 miles away and since I had no transportation I was only able to see her in person once in a great while). Now we had already did over the phone Family Feud (NES and other versions) and Blackjack and she told me how one of her sisters was really into the original Super Mario Bros way back and my wife was amazed at all the secrets in that game she could find. But sadly, she passed away a week before we were supposed to meet up at her nursing home so we didn't get the chance So with this being what would've been our 17th anniversary (June 17 no less!) I thought what better way to honor her memory than to make June my first annual NES only month! Not to mention it was my first ever system and from 1990-94 it was the only system I had. Among other things, I'll try to tackle the trilogies like Castlevania (I think I did finish the second one), Ninja Gaiden, Adventure Island, Adventures of Lolo (I think I did finish the first one) and so on that for whatever reason I never got around to playing all that much. I'm also thinking of trying out Final Fantasy 3 (the real one, not the mislabeled FF6)...how exactly am I supposed to do the Jobs system on that game, is it like FF5 where you try to eventually max them all out? I never did have a Game Boy growing up so I'm thinking of including pre-Super Game Boy era as well. I've been trying to get my grandma to try a Game Boy instead of just having that one handheld Solitaire game but she insists she's content with just that one handheld *shrugs* On a side note I've also started reading lately the Big Three gaming magazines (NP/EGM/GP) and right now I'm on the 1992 EGM's and GamePros. While I do have a Everdrive N8 Pro and can easily play whatever NES game I want, I do have a small collection of actual NES cartridges though I haven't really been able to add to it in the past few years sadly **All "Black Box Thirty" games except Donkey Kong Jr Math and Stack Up, and all three Silver Box games (Kid Icarus, Metroid, Rad Racer)** 1942, 1943 Adventure Island 1, 2, 3 Adventures of Lolo 1, 2, 3 Adventures of Bayou Billy Adventures in the Magic Kingdom Airwolf Amagon American Gladiators Anticipation Back to the Future 1, 2&3 Bad Dudes Bad Street Brawler Baseball Stars Bases Loaded 1, 2, 3 Battle Chess Battleship Battletoads Batman, Batman Returns Bigfoot Bionic Commando Blades of Steel Bomberman Bubble Bobble Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout, Crazy Castle Burgertime Caesars Palace Captain Planet Casino Kid Castlevania 1, 2, 3 Championship Bowling Championship Pool Chessmaster Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers Classic Concentration Contra, Super C Dance Aerobics Destination Earthstar Dick Tracy Dr Mario Double Dare Double Dragon 1, 2, 3 Double Dribble Donkey Kong Classics Dragon Warrior 1, 2, 3, 4 Duck Tales Eggsplode/Short Order Family Feud Final Fantasy Friday the 13th Fun House Galaga Ghosts N Goblins Gunsmoke Harlem Globetrotters Hollywood Squares Home Alone 2 Hunt For Red October Hydlde Ice Hockey Ikari Warriors 1, 2 Jack NIckolas Golf Jeopardy (all four) John Elway's Quarterback Jordan vs Bird Kirby's Adventure Klax Knight Rider Little Mermaid Little Nemo Lone Ranger Maniac Mannsion Marble Madness Mario is Missing MC Kids MegaMan 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 Metal Gear, Snakes Revenge Mickey Mousecapade Mike Tyson's Punch-Out Millipede Miracle Piano MonopolyNES Play Action Football Ninja Gaiden 1, 2, 3 Othello Pac Man, Ms Pac Man, Pac Mania Paperboy Pictionary Pipe Dream Q'Bert RBI Baseball RC Pro Am Rad Racer 2 Remote Control Robocop 1, 2 Sesame Street (all four; don't laugh) Simpsons (all four) Skate or Die, Ski or Die Sky Shark Snoopy Solomon's Key Space Shuttle Spot Star Trek 25th Anniversary, Next Generation Startrophics 1, 2 Super Glove Ball Superman Super Maio Bros 1, 2, 3 plus SMB/Duck/Track Super Sprint Star Wars, plus Empire Strikes Back Talesspin Techno NBA Basketball, Super Bowl Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1, 2, 3 Terminator 2 Tetris 1, 2 Three Stooges Tiny Toon Adventures Tom & Jerry Top Gun 1, 2 Total Recall Track & Field 1 & 2 Vegas Dream Videomation Wall Street Kid Wario's Woods WCW Wrestling Wheel of Fortune (all four) Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego? Are you planning to beat them or just give them a quick play? Well I would like to try to get as far as I can in FF3, and the trilogies I already mentioned...say how do I make my NES games list single spaced? It automatically double spaced on me and obviously that takes up too much room. But yeah I think I'll mostly sample...of course if anyone wants to make any requests feel free (but be sure to explain WHY I should try out that particular game!)
