So I have the Super NT and the Mega SG and I LOVE these FPGa systems. I also have the terraonion Mega SD (there are so many abbreviations I get them confused lol). And I'm totally on board these thing. Man are those pixels razor sharp, and the sound and control feels so pure compared to emulation. I do have one issue and I asked for help on terraonion but might as well ask here too. I have some pixel noise with mega sg and the terraonion card with sega cd games. Here's a video showing the "noise". Is it maybe just bad game rips? Or maybe a video setting I need to change? Or maybe I need to get the new firmware for both the mega sg and sega sd?

My Dad and I played Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance together years ago. I bought both Champions Return to Arms and Dark Alliance 2 and playing Champions now. It IS addictive.

genesis games and classic systems added.

@ErickRPG Dark Alliance 2 is the better game. It is an improved DA1 and you can play as Drizzt.
It kinda looked that way. We'll play Champions first then, ha thanks!

so you do figure that the NGPC, Lynx, and others, have already built in support? Does the pocket really have FPGa for like 6+ systems built in?

How do people like the snowblind studios multi player RPGs? Dad and I played Dark Alliance years ago and loved it. I just bought Dark Alliance 2 and Champions return to arms. Even though they score a little lower on metrcritic. Both of them have a couple more playable character options, which we value.

Odin Sphere. I was reminded how I wanted to play Princess Crown so this has been nice. But man do I wish they would translate Princess Crown.
I skipped that game during the PS2 era. (didn't look "RPGy" enough for me). However Lefthrasser or whatever on Vita was one of my favorite games. Amazing game!

Do you think the adaptors will allow the Pocket to play roms from those other systems? I have a GBA collection. But I plan to use the analogue to play some gb and gbc roms. NGPC and Lynx would be a HUGE bonus.

Gotcha. Hopefully it doesn't come at too much of a premium. If I hear anything about restocks, I'll update here.
Thanks, as is usual I changed my mind quick. I DID buy a black one but intend to one day buy a classic if they ever restock. I just don't want to miss having ANY super NT before they ALL go out of stock!
So I have one more question about the Analogue Pocket. I'm pretty confident now that once jailbroken, it will play gb, gbc, and gba through fpga with ease. But it mentions"Pocket works with cartridge adapters for other handheld systems, too. Like Game Gear. Neo Geo Pocket Color. Atari Lynx & more.".
Do these adaptors currently exist for GBA? Or are they planning to make them. Do you see a scenerio where we are emulating these games via roms and not carts? I'm already on board for the vast library of GB,GBC, and GBA. But there are some great games on those other systems as well.

If you really want one, I wouldn't recommend waiting for a restock. They are notoriously bad about restocking and even worse about telling people if there will ever be a restock. The Nt Mini has been "out of stock" for years. They are supposedly going to do another run, but that's based on a few Twitter posts, not even an update on the website.
If you're extremely patient, you could buy a black Super Nt and leave it sealed for a set amount of time. If there is a restock on your color of choice, resell it for a minimal loss on eBay and buy the one you want. If they don't restock in that timeframe, open and enjoy.
I'm aiming to buy a used super NT as we speak. I just won't buy a black one, not interested. Will just have to pay more for a used one at this point.

Absolutely. If you notice the jailbreak has a habit of magically showing up about a week after the release of the product. It's almost as though it exists before release but couldn't be on the console for legal reasons.
that's what I assumed, thanks.

It's been out of stock once before, after the initial buying frenzy when it first dropped. I can't say for certain that the classic one will be back.
well it does say out of stock instead of discontinued.

so question to long time analogue fans (as a newbie myself). Has Super NT gone out of stock then back in stock again? Will the Classic Super NT be back in stock at some point?
And my 2nd question is, do you think it's likely the Analogue Pocket will be jailbroken to play roms? They make a point about it not playing roms on the site, but they might just mean as is non jailbroken.

That thing looks really cool. Stuff like that will be important as mechanical parts start to fail en masse.
Yeah I think FPGa is starting to take off. With analogue SNES, NES, and Genesis. And Pocket coming. Terraonion doing Sega CD. Exciting times. And they all upscale to beautiful HD, scanline options, and so many scaling options. I've gotten and tried my Mega SG and I'm super impressed! I'm seriously considering getting that PC engine cart and a PC engine now!

I'm getting my mega sg in today. i ordered that terraonion sega cd fpga cart too. i'm starting to get into this fpga thing. i think this is a great way to play those old rpgs and have more secure save files. I still collect PS1 and newer but I might go this route for the older stuff!

A lot of people forget the sales tax impact that was not part of eBay a year ago. 6-10% of the decline in loose prices can be attributed to sales tax.
Ah true, good point dude! Def something I will consider. It's possible that's all it is.

haha no I just bought a copy from some seller in Europe. I was relieved actually. I bought a mint copy 3 years ago for $150 and sold it. I was happy a brand new never opened copy wasn't much more expensive ($200 after shipping). So I was glad I got a mint one and didn't have to pay much more.

If you are doing it all look up the triple bypass mod. Might be worth it. Can even order a kit and have someone else install it.
I've heard one thing you can do is play that emulation card that actually runs Sega CD games via FPGa on the Nomad. But what else can it do?

I don't even want to search how much these cost now. SNK made some great arcade games back in the 90s no doubt . I have a handful of them on my Atgames Legends, some I've never tried before like Super Sidekicks and Ninja Commando. Baseball Stars 2 is one of my favorites too. What are some of your favorites dude?
