Your opinion is wrong!  Technically maybe.  But 2 is way more fun.

MM2 is the most fun for me but 3 is really the masterpiece of the series especially from a perspective of level design.  I absolutely love returning to the remixed levels and the reveal when you fight the robot masters from 2.  I always wished the MM2 bosses would give up their weapons leading into the Wily stages.  

Can I get a hack please?  Anyone?  Beuller?

Also came out of nowhere! Wasn't hyped at release, just came out.  Movie games were notoriously bad up to that point.  Yet this unhyped movie game comes out and people instantly start recognizing it. Still remember buying it from Walmart on a whim near release thinking it would be fun when I was in between N64 titles.  Little did I know it would be something I would identify with my entire lifetime.  

Bond is my favorite 64 game to be sure.  It's a little rough around the edges compared to modern shooters but still super fun.  I actually got rid of my 64 this year to focus on NES.  This was the only game that was really holding me back so I couldn't justify keeping it all.  N64 is pretty much a Goldeneye machine for me.  Such good times playing 4 player death matches on a 19" tv in a tiny smoke filled apartment drinking cases of Natty Ice.  So fun, I can taste it now.
