I'm excited, but I'm also nervous because there are so many things that they can screw up. If they do it right, that's a guaranteed purchase for me.
I've only done a very quick search, but I haven't seen anything about whether or not it will get a physical release. Has anyone see something one way or the other?
The list of games is pretty much perfect.
I will buy this, but I’d feel more confident if it was being done by M2 vs Digital Eclipse. M2 isn’t perfect, but DE is mediocre at best.

I just hope Digital Eclipse doesn’t screw this up like some of their other emulation efforts.

We’re up to $4.59 here. I’m starting to second guess buying the Honda minivan vs the hybrid Toyota. I’m just glad I bought before the supply shortage.

Ninja Warriors and Wild Guns both got Western physicals, in case you want to hold off on the import.
This got a western release too. I just preorder off of Amazon today.

- The domain name videogamesage.com was registered through Google, by me.
- Google decided to, with little to no warning, suspend my Google Domains account pending proof of identification.
- Their doing so turned off the DNS entries which point "videogamesage.com" to the forum itself.
- I am currently working on getting the documents that they now erroneously deem required, and since that will take some time I purchased an alt domain (with an added "s" at the end), so we can have a site to communicate on in the meantime.
The only "attack" is from Google, and it's ongoing. That said, they have no control over the site itself in any way, just that one domain name. I'll get that back in due time, not to worry. The software housing our forum remains in tact, fully.
Should have just used this ID

Maybe they thought it would go great with the scraped up NES carts the early Nts caused.
I admit that I chuckled at this.

FYI guys, in case you worry about the labels of your games potentially getting ruined.

Thankfully this is an open pre-order. I’ll take my time for the 2023 release.

Some people just hate because years of misinformation, trending proven lies, etc. I don't think the stigma will ever go away when people find it easier to take shots. It may just have 14 US games, but of those, really just ONE is utterly crap, baseball and even in perspective to crap, it's average and somehow really could have been notably worse.
The thing is, Wario, Mario, Teleroboxing, Red Alarm, Galactic Pinball, Jack Bros, Nesters Funky Bowling, they're great, even the quirky 3D Tetris too. Waterworld is a take it or leave it badly used movie license game that is kind of a wanna be tower defense/robotron style game which works great. There are a few average games I guess, but largely the games are great and those idiots threw away a good window of opportunity not re-working them for the 3DS when they had the chance for 3D VB downloads.
I tried the Virtual Boy at Circuit City. It was some tennis game. I thought it was shit back then. I was 11 at the time and had zero desire to buy it. That really hasn’t changed besides for completion sake.

If preorders last a week, then I’ll get one. Otherwise, oh well.

They never did. My guess is because there was already an NES product on the market at the time.

It was crazy windy over here too last night, closer to Chicago.
It sucks that people lost their lives in that warehouse. Hopefully, casualties will be at a minimum for the storms from last night throughout the country.

From what I can see that bundle is all the addon they ever made for it? I'm a little surprised there's not a NES/FC module.
I currently have a GB Operator that does GB C and A, but this looks tempting. I like how with the GBO I can play my old gameboy carts on my computer. I take it this is basically the same, also secondarily allowing for tampering/transfer of save data too.
Yep, you’re exactly right.

She's pretty good and all but as far as American Idol goes, William Hung has her beat.
He got an album from it.

@Estil Is she the most successful American Idol winner? My guess is yes.

I remember a wedding I attended had the mom of the bride processing up to that Mama song in church. It was cringe for me. That and hearing that song about the Louisville slugger and keying the truck in stores/banks are my only exposure to her and they aren’t good, lol.

I hate to break it to you, but they are old video games at this point. The NES and SNES were considered old video games by the PS2/GCN/Xbox era when GameStop/EB Games/etc we’re dumping their inventory. That was about 2002-2003. Think about the release dates for those consoles and compared to those years. It’s now 2021, farther out from the release dates of the PS1 and N64. Heck, I’d argue that the PS2/GCN/Xbox era could be considered old video games at this point.
Personally, I am with Phil Spencer and believe that old games should be playable on new technology, just like old movies are getting rereleased in 4K. I love my carts, but I’d gladly buy old games if they were properly preserved on new consoles.

Hard to say. The critical reviews I've looked up all seem to agree that it's roughly standard Seth Rogan fare and well worth watching, even though it's hardly Shakespeare. That would seem to indicate at least a 5-6 out of 10 average rating and not a 1. Looking at the IMDB ratings (where it's "risen" to 1.1 average), the low reviewers are overwhelmingly male which seems absolutely, totally off base in regard to what basically every reviewer is describing as a "raunchy" Christmas tale. Last I checked, regardless of age group, men weren't overwhelmingly squeamish, turned off or turned away by "raunchy" anything. Absolutely conveniently, I'm not able to pull up any actual reviews that score it low, just the data regarding how many stars those people clicked, which is basically how review bombings work.
Here, the comments below the very brief blurb about the show pretty much immediately start in on about how at least part of the cast is Jewish and they have little to no business being part of a Christmas show (some comments seem to indicate this is based on perceived hypocrisy of one of the cast who made unrelated comments prior to this show coming out/about). This review pretty much points out toward the latter part about how anti-Semitic and Holocaust-denying comments as well as unnecessary, irrelevant mentions of the two main stars' religion cropped up immediately in comments as soon as the trailer dropped; note that the review isn't glowing, but it's not bad either.
As other people were pointing out this trend before Seth Rogen ever made his Tweet (I'm seeing stuff from 11/30 & 12/1 and Rogen's tweet wasn't made until 12/2), I'd say that there's likely a fair grain of truth to it, however uncomfortable a truth it might be or less believable because the actor making the most often quoted statement most frequently plays either a dummy or an ass, if not both.
That’s pretty horrible. I don’t find Seth Rogen and his crude, stoner humor funny. I never liked the stuff he and his group of buddies have done, but the bigotry is unacceptable. I mean Santa Claus is already a commercialized version of of St. Nicholas. I personally can’t be offended by something that may not portray something saintly that took an actual saint and turned him into a tool for consumerism.

PS5
in The Gauntlet
1 hour ago, glazball said:That makes no sense. If you could go back in time, why not skip the PS4 Pro and One X?
I really don't understand all the whining about PS5. It is leaps and bounds better than the PS4, which I upgraded from, bringing native 4K to the table. If, like @cj_robotsays, that you can't "find a single reason" to get one, then that's on you and you don't need one. So why the moaning?
That’s what I did and my PS5 and XSX still collect dust. On the other hand, I’ve bought almost 300 4K UHD movies this year and watch a movie almost every night. I think I’ve lost my interest in gaming. I can’t be bothered to play something that is longer than a few hours at this point.

Would you be interested in sign trades or just cash? I have three signs I’d be willing to offer for this.
