I’ve spent about 10 hours so far, going in I knew it was going to be real tedious but it’s unlikely I would have been able to get one of these if it was great condition. Too many deep pocketed collectors in my area and these never come up locally. I like the restoring part, it’s like saving a piece of history

Plus it makes you have a greater sense of appreciation for it, since you did all the work!

  2. Years ago, I had all my games in a spare bedroom. Collection wasn't really big, but had a decent amount. I knew where everything was though because it was right after I started getting back into collecting older games so everything was in a little dresser I had. Star Fox 64 and my Gyromite carts disappeared. Never found them either. We had a younger girl (early 20s) watch the house when we went on a vacation. I think she had her boyfriend over and I suspect he took them. Not sure why those two though when I had much more valuable things in the same spot.

  3. I realized a few weeks ago that I don't need all the stuff I had. I was debating on selling it all (because of the combo of high prices and waning interest) so I went through my games and picked out the ones I thought I would miss the least. Needless to say, those games are now on my selling page right here on VGS. I made a few sales, felt good about it, didn't regret it (yet), so I'll continue to sell as long as people want to buy them. But to say I am fully dedicated to selling is inaccurate because I am only selling here, nowhere else, so if someone comes along and offers me a good deal on something I listed, it's gone.

Is Mega Man for the Genesis a clamshell and a high quality copy? Also is it the NTSC version?

Hey sorry I just saw this. I would say it is high quality, and yes it is in a clamshell and is the NTSC version.

  5. Hey guys, I've been going through my stuff to see what I want to keep and get rid of and I came across my copy of Lunar Silver Star for the Sega CD. I couldn't get it to work in my model 1 before I boxed it up to ship off because the back is scratched pretty bad, but also, when looking up at images online of the disc, it seems that I have a different release than what is the more common version. Could someone tell more information about this release if anyone knows?

Remember, when you factor in shipping to and from plus the cost of grading, it's at least about $50-$75 to grade a CIB.  Take out $50 to $75 of those prices and it's not nearly as bad.

True enough, even with that though and having bought these a while ago, if they all go in the 200 range that's almost $400 in profit. I'm letting them go anyway, might as well maximize the return if I can.

  7. I am enjoying this game as well. Kind of stopped playing it before Christmas as I've been playing through Spider-Man on PS4, but I'll get back to it when I am done. Respawn sure does know how to make some good games!

  8. I used the Kallax shelves from IKEA with essentially a cardboard box that fits in the cubes. It's a nice minimalist look and each box holds a crap load of games. The red drawer thing holds all my controllers. I've considered putting a label on the boxes, but I pretty much know where everything is, so I don't need to advertise it.
