So every bid for any sealed or graded games in the whole universe is a shill bid now ?

ive had one of my best 2 weeks selling my sealed (not graded) games so your conspiracy story just won’t change anything even if you really want it to…

Not related to you or your post but since im posting :

as for Haspel selling his games on ebay, who gives a shit about his 500$ Atari games that he is selling, you really think WATA would jeopardize their integrity by giving him preferential grading on these silly cheap ass games nobody wants !!! Come the …. on !

The spider man made me chuckle. Well done. 🍻

I know the market is a huge meme right now, but let’s not leak our frustration into claims without proof, re: shill bidding.

Lol you haven’t seem my previous posts, i thought my sarcasm was obvious, Im a sealed/graded games defender 😉

  3. Here is an update of some of the Goldin Auctions with 12 days left for all the shill bidders participating out there :

All these except the Sonic have 15 bids or more…all shills of course…🤦‍♂️ (since its not as clear as i thought this is sarcasm)…

    Mario 64 9.8A++ : currently at 300k$

    Mario 64 VGA 95 : 85 000$

    Sonic 1 : 9.4 A : 130 000$

    Smb : 9.2 A : 400k$

    Smb : 7.0 B+ : 48 000$

    Smb : 9.2 A+ : 42 000$

Every? No, no one could be that stupid.  But a good many, that's fairly likely.  Where they are is another matter.  Stuff still pops up a lot still ranging from in a packing box that never got cracked open to those people who buy a gift and lose it for 10-30+ years in some closet where no light jacks it up, nothing falls on it, it never got moved, and it's temp controlled.  So surely, many games, easier said though ones that had like a million of them run and up surely beyond any shadow of a doubt have a good number of sealed up assets around...somewhere.  As the total drops the probability goes with it.  SO that is why people would call bullshit on something like a Mario game, especially with known totals that SM64 and SMB have had (more so SM64 which didn't have like a half dozen variant boxes/packing jobs done on it.)

Agree with you totally for many games past snes era but for example NES there isnt 50 mint copies of every game out there im pretty sure so thats not a lot

Follow up question : do you think that if there are 20-25 9.8 A++ Mario 64 that is a lot ?

I was being a smartass. Dont you think there's a reason why WATA hasnt released POP reports?

I can guess where you are going with this but why has VGA also not released POP reports in all their years ? They havent done anything wrong have they ? (VGA

Wata has been in the game for a short time so i agree that releasing POP reports too soon could actually have an even worse impact on the market. But i believe the time to release them is now and i think VGA caught that part and will do it, i hope WATA does it asap as well, there is nothing more i want now as a collector

Troll bait. Bzz. I am not entertaining your troll questions.

It was a serious question but ok…I basically never engage in any internet arguments and this is the most posts ive done in my entire life on the internet so if I am a troll well lol i dont know what to say, ill just stay in my cave and wait, this is not meant for me…

    What POP reports?

The ones that we are all waiting for so that those who never bought a sealed game and dont follow the market closely can see the numbers and maybe move on if the data proves them wrong.

Didnt VGA announce yesterday that public pop reports were coming, did i dream that part ?

For me it isn't so much that it finally happened, it's the game that it happened to.

I agree with that, if it was all manipulated and raised up with shill bid though, why would they pick that game, they know its not as rare as a first print Zelda for example and would raise issues and questioning, that would seem like the biggest mistake/overlook on their part if there was shill bidding involved…

I didn't come in here asking for proof with my mind already made up. I'll review any proof and factual evidence and then make an informed decision. You said "someone explain this to me" and the proceeded to tell why that would be pointless for anyone to do because you already made up your mind. I was just pointing out how silly that is.

I understand but it was a rethorical ‘’someone explain this to me’’ 😉

I mean what do you need? A subpoena of records of who bid on heritage auctions items? Kind of seems a bit over kill to say I need proof. I’d think a jump on Mario 64 from $10k to $1.56 in 6 months and a call of duty anything for $22k is circumstantial enough. But sure.

Yes i need actual sanctions from authorities and not speculation from journalists with sensationalist titles about possible shenanigans…

So you think every game ever made still has hundreds of perfect mint copies available ?

If so i dont know what to say to that, POP reports for the win 😀

BAHHAHAHHA “SLOWLY CATCHING UP”. No, stop trying to rationalize the irrational. Optie is right. It’s spill out from the manipulators. Idiots who think they can get rich quick off of a sealed call of duty. People this isn’t rocket science. CaPiTaLiSm.

Sealed stuff has been climbing steady for a decade, sure now we see some prices i find ridiculous as well but isn’t a first batman comic that sold for 4 mil also ridiculous ?

Of course now its touching our precious games so we are not happy about it, i get it.

My point is that i think this was a long time coming for our hobby but the boom was too big for a lot of us, myself included as will never get some of the games i wanted now…

My favorite part was where you asked for information/explanation but then said you've already made up your mind anyway.

As long as we dont have proof of shill bidding or real fraudulent stuff i wont get on the internet gospel hype train…if proof comes out and real sanctions are handed by actual authorities i will then gladly admit i was wrong…will you do the same if nothing is proven ?

Err, do you not understand how market manipulation works?

First off, i like you 😉 so hear me out

Second first off: I dont give a shit about call of duty but you cant deny its a big name/game franchise

Here are my thoughts on this, yes you are correct on your post above but here is my logic, the 23k$ sale happened tonight for a 9.8 A+ (These always get a premium since its as good as it gets)

The only 3 past sales on HA for a first print original call of duty for ps2 (which is a big key title for what the franchise has become) have ended at these prices :

    October 12 2020 : 9.4 B+ : 252$

    September 13 2020 : 9.8 A : 2040$

    July 11th 2021 : 9.6 A+ : 2880$

Also, I have nothing to hide so you need to know i have been looking at sealed games sold auctions for NES mostly but for all systems almost on a daily basis on ebay for 15+ years and on HA for as long as they have been selling games.

These 3 prices make total sense to me, and i think there is no way these 3 auctions were manipulated or shill bid involved, and thats just one example, i could literally point out hundreds of examples where the price rise has been steady since way way before WATA.

That POP report everyone wants to see, well i have a pretty good one in my head !

Sealed games in mint condition are not common ! They are RARE WOW LOOK $&&@. 🙂

Even if there are 30 Mario 64’s 9.8 A++, that’s not a lot in my opinion.

I honestly think that the sealed retro video games market prices had been low/dormant for too long and now its finally getting some real hype and slowly catching up to cards and other hobbys where some prices are ridiculous as well.

Thats all i got for now

    PS : i have sealed games 😉

Nah, these aren't first print ones like the Heritage one. I already went looking on the bay when this auction ended and there were none.

I know and you missed my point completely but its all good 🙂

Please Read my post again, i say these arent first prints and worth Jack shit in my opinion but these VGA copies not WATA still sold at auction on EBAY not HA for a ridiculous amount in my opinion, how is WATA and HA involved in this, oh wait they are not...

Pretty sure the first one of these sold for the highest amount on Wata. I remember joking about it with someone.

Sorry but no, from what i see on past sales on HA which are available to see,a reprint copy never sold on HA, here are all sales on HA for this title, all first prints with security seal.

    Next argument please 🙂

Is WATA also shill bidding these VGA Call of Duties on Ebay that are part of the reprint set and are worth about 7$ to me...sorry guys but you need to realise that even without any WATA shenanigans things are nuts and its not going to change anytime soon im afraid.

Not unless you have a wife that looks at your purchases.

Thats pretty funny as she doesnt ‘’enjoy’’ my collection but she gets to walk past that every time she does the laundry (i do laundry too 😉)

Also while im here(im still many pages late to keep up with this novel), for anyone that says those who collect sealed aren’t real collectors, dont play games or are all investors, etc...

See guys i collect sealed AND complete and loose...and I only sell doubles !
