The same reason why people collect licensed games or dead bugs, it's fun. Like all collectibles you still have to have rules and standards when it comes to collecting pirate carts and bootlegs, but some of those are pretty interesting. If you can point to a game on a shelf and tell a story about it, then I'd say it has more value than a game you can't do that for, not monetarily but just in terms of general intrigue

Funny you post that, i went to the local Insectarium yesterday.

Of the original 94 Turbochip (Hucard) games, only 21 came without cases, so just keep a list of those games handy and you'll know for sure for those 21 if the case is fake.  As for the other 73 that actually came with cases, real ones have rounded end labels, meaning the actual sticker does not have sharp 90 degree corners, whereas fakes/repros don't bother with rounding the corners, so if you look closely you'll see that the actual end label of reproduction stickers have the sharp 90 degree corners.

Is there a quick link to this 21 games without cases list ?

    Been wondering. Thanks in advance

Sounds like I shouldn't have sent my 9.4 A+ Ocarina Of Time for the next auction.

Though I sent it in april and it's finally going up in September.

It should do fine, im a sealed/graded collector as well and I am glad most of these graded games for titles that came out last week are finally taking a dive !

Especially the GTA trilogy, people finally realizing these aren’t worth jack…

Wow roughly 250 of the games in this auction sold for under $200. Most of them were PS2 and newer but still. Some of these sellers lost a lot of money on this one.

Yeah im kinda glad and not feeling sorry for them, maybe now they will stop flooding the graders with games that dont deserve to be slabbed (IMO) and only done to make a quick profit.

Love it. Sealed games with dings are my jam.

Yeah for me if its not completely ravaged and looking good overall i want any NES sealed game i dont have, i gathered a pretty good amount of sealed NES games with that mentality and im quite happy with the way it’s going !! Its getting hard now though….
