great games! how are you liking the DVD size? I've been liking them a lot more personally. Still not as thin as I want but it's such an improvement that at least in the short term I'm satisfied.
I also noticed DS games have the same width which is surprising, because 3DS are much thinner.

I’ve heard quite good things about collectibles insurance services. zandg emporium on YouTube just did a vid about it actually. I’m probably going to go through them in the future just because my collection has grown so much.

Don’t worry. I have a closet overflowing with garbage I don’t care about. You’re in good company

Rockman & Forte is a must for Mega Man fans. Ignore the USA port to GBA. Play the correct version on SFC.

That isn’t a part code. It should be five digits and a letter

Looks like it. What’s the part code on it?

Turbo is pretty slow right now. My two turbo orders just shipped today. Two months.
meanwhile cgc is shipping in one tier within 2 weeks, at $50.

I placed my first order with WATA on April 20th. It was graded weeks ago... on May 3rd to be precise. But I have not yet heard anything about shipping. Is this normal? Should I expect to hear about shipping sometime soon?
If it’s turbo then expect it to take 2 months door to door. I have late march turbos and one just shipped.
I’m also 99% sure they just let them sit instead of shipping them out when they’re encapsulated and done.

I only have 3 sealed games - 1 VGA and 2 wata. What I liked about the wata case is the face and back can’t get scuffed secondary to the footprint; the bumpers keep the faces from rubbing against each other if kept on a shelf like a book.
it looks like the new design has removed that. Does anybody care for that feature or am I the only one?
That feature still exists. The footprint is just smaller.

I got my first sub with the redesigned case. I gotta say it's LEAGUES better.
Worth noting is that the 3DS size is in many ways the "perfect fit." From what I can tell there's no "back" for the inner blister here. Based on photos from other subs, a CD jewel case will have a back for the blister.
I still have a six game reholder sub at Wata which tests the other more common sizes (N64/NES, Game Boy, DVD, DS) so I'll be very curious to see how the empty space scales with those sizes.
Overall, I think the new case is better than CGCs and especially better than Wata's own legacy design. I wouldn't say it can beat VGAs holder design, but only because in general I think it competes in different ways. I still don't love the inner blister but it's clear Wata intends to stick with it for the foreseeable future.
Pros:
- Feels and looks great
- Has weight (none of that toy-like lightness like with CGC)
- Better use of space (more depth options)
- Case is crystal clear
Cons
- Inner blister doesn't seem any better (no corner bubbles)
- Scuffs all over the case out of the box (seriously, how)
- CIB sub-grades are still on the back label (not relevant to this submission, but just a general annoyance)
In my mind, Wata is beating its main competition (CGC) with this design.
Here's some comparison photos:

Actually when this thread reaches 200 pages we'll have completed our collections, so the plan is to close the site entirely.

oh man i'm legit super jealous of this one. i need to get it at some point. haha
also i noticed your mario kart DS is hanging quite low. i think the inner blister got smooshed at the bottom.
