I don’t mean to be rude with this question as im genuinely just curious. So the N64 test cart last sold “according to pricecharting” last year for $1,299. Why is this one 5k?  Like i said im really just curious as i hope you get what you’re asking for it!  Just curious

    thanks again:)!

It's no sweat no offense taken. The 1.2k was a heck of a deal for whoever got that as that was pretty good at the time. Supply and demand probably plays a role, what's for sale currently, the urgency of the buyer to have something, these are not traded crazy often and as I said pricecharting isn't the bible of the value of things. It's a nice reference, that's what I use it for.

You could always make an ebay saved search and see if one pops in that you find more in your price range.  The more ways you can detect something is for sale the better. Don't rely on just one site to find what you want. Use legit sites of course but it's kinda like fishing, the more lines you got out in some cases the more likely you may catch what your looking for.

    Is that an acceptable answer?

I was going to say, having just seen some of the insanely stupid prices for N64 stuff like Sculptor's Cut cart only for $1000, $5000 for a N64 test cart seems cheap considering it's like exponentially more rare.

Sometimes sellers make desperation sales. I've done it loads of times

  3. Price charting unfortunately isnt the end all br all on prices. Things fall though the cracks. Its a.helpful resource for sure but Is by no means the bible on game prices. Any collector of weird things like that probably agrees with me

Ebay price differs from vgs price. Ebay people tend to lowball like crazy.

Here are a few examples of that in the last 12 hours

I'd update the title to for offer and suggest a minimum offer to keep low ballers away.

    Cool stuff and good luck.

Just wondering,  do you have a price limit on how much you want to spend on total? Also,  are you looking for basic CIB, or are you wanting inserts as well?

Inserts are always awesome. Limits come from paycheck to paycheck but I usually drop around 400 per check. Not that would buy me a whole lot but I've had one awesome seller work with me and we will be doing more business I'm sure tomorrow.

    Also kirbys mirror bought

edit: if I don't respond quickly it's not because I'm ignoring you, I'm just  exhausted. Everytime I'm awake it feels like I've been up for 3 days even after sleeping 12 hours. But rest assured I don't consider anyone's messages go be below or a waste of my time, I'll get back to you! But I'll be playing in Dreamland most the time

Also note I would prefer for buy but thats not for everyone, so  i have a few things

Like 15ish psp games, popular name titles i think but not incredibly valuable

I have probably the worst condition dk 64 with a box from hfil that makes me sad when I look at it. Console is fine! Comes with expansion papers and dk

A few boxed nes games I cant name off hand.

Can provide board pics/times stamps and am even willing to send a picture of my blockbuster gift card with my name on it, which is 100% full proof

Also have an extra pikachu 64 with controller and expansion and cords  and what not. Wouldnt be easy trade for but if is extra

Also have alot of random stuff and some access to a place you can get anything.  Going to that warehouse is a bit depressing as it has everything you could ever want. And ik the owner and got store credit.

Again, atm preference is to buy

Also sorta on a mini hunt for a nomad. I'd be interested in having one again

Hello there! Recently started collecting cib gb/gbc/gba games. I'm open to almost any game, save for insane shovelware manuals, safety pamphlets, etc are useful as well

I also collect not for resale gb/gbc/gba carts.

Open to anything I dont have. I BOUGHT  ME ANOTHER SHELF

Might be able to be convinced to buy loose.

Lists for sure help on what you have

Message me if you have anything you'd part with!

I've also thoroughly enjoyed speaking with other gameboy collectors so even if you dont have anything to sell I bet we would make fast friends.

I love collecting Xbox 360 games... If those can still be counted as modern like 15 years since launch, lol!

360 games are cheap and plentiful still, even finding sealed games to open and play you can still find them for like a few bucks! You get some real awesome gameplay for your money too, all the biggest and best games of that generation are present and correct on 360, from your GTA's to your Bioshocks, your Halos to your Forzas, it's all on there! 🙂

I figure one day I'll be able to add the pokemon games but that is 100% a seemingly bad idea right now. Unless I get lucky , (Cib collector) and I find one super cheap which isnt likely lol.

Used to do just do 64 and was getting bored and felt a similar way when I first started collecting nes and snes

  9. Sooooo. As it turns out I'm enjoying collecting, dare I say it.. More modern stuff? Nintendo ds? 3ds? Wii? Wii u? Heck even switch.

Never thought I would have fun collecting modern. (still collect the classics)   Most fun I've had collecting in years! Oh and gameboy. I've stayed away from anything gameboy for the last 15 years and now that is even fun to  collect.

I'm sure there are more like me? Thoughts?
