Last winter a group underage kids wanted to meet at a local park pretending to be an adult to buy a binder, I got out the car and was surrounded by a bunch or pimply, freckley  Ne'er do well teens and I just sorta jogged back in my car and took off. There aim sucked because they were throwing something at me and obviously wanted me to pull over but i just got the hell out of there.

Could have likely held my own for a minute but all it takes is one knife to completely change the tides of a fight. Mind you the sun wasnt even down yet so I was dealing with some real pros, but probably should have let them have the cards and left because being known as the guy mauled to death by a wild pack of 17 year olds is not what I want my legacy to be

Upon review, and coming back to sage I made 2 assumptions i shouldn't have made. 1. Only a few bad apples posted anything, this was the first I had seen of this and was a knee-jerk reaction. 2. I assumed Gocollect had bought NA In good faith, but that was wrong, very, very, wrong. They don't care. I get that now. Please accept my apologies on that.

Anyways I do have a genuine question on whether or not I made the right decision on an item on marketplace and not selling to this guy. After the fact I learned he is a legit insurance agent and that is a real office. As someone who somehow got away from a trap deal by being the luckiest guy alive I only do public meetups in banks or crowded restaurants. Feel free to roast me if I handled this poorly. These are my finances cards I'm selling for background. I left the chat and 200.00 by doing that.  This may seem a bit ironic but someone working insurance I would think would understand this.  

This isnt to shame the guy, genuine interest if that was the right move

In summary, I don't think we have a problem here at VGS and I think we have a great community of people.  We've already BEEN working to make this place better and great - focusing on the positive aspects of the community - retaining what we liked about NA, while working on other areas to make it better.  

I am always open to hearing community concerns and admitting when we mess up or have problems, so I'm not defending VGS just for the sake of it.  I legitimately believe that our community has risen above the disgusting nonsense you are referring to - which, as I mentioned, was really just from the troll-like behavior of a very small number of people.

A few loud, negative and gross people, do NOT reflect on the whole of our community.  And myself and the staff here are very committed to growing VGS in positive ways, and would absolutely address any vile behavior that occurs here.

 

I believe that. I guess it was just pure shock. Vgs is a godsend and I referred some of my locals here. I believe in the site so much I even bought a shirt ^.^ things hit different when you read then late at night, and know forna fact VGS never endorsed any of that speech. 

My point was generally lets put our money where our mouth is and see nintendoage as a rather fine former site, but sage as the clear superior one. 

It also bothers me that gocollect seems to think it's ok to leave that stuff up, in this particular situation i was shocked they didn't do the basic and easy work of just deleting the threads, censorship sucks, but those comments look they they were made when people were drunk. 

I'm also aware and happy to not see that many familiar names in those posts, it would be difficult to do business with people who can say things like that and show no remorse.

Again, my message was, let's be better then that because imo in one year this site has come a crazy long way. One I'm proud to be a part of. 

I guess I should have known every community has its toxic members and ignored it, but it just was really sad to see. 

This isnt gonna gain me any friends but I think our community has a problem.

I went to gocollects forum and I saw some really offensive and completely mean spirited  posts claiming an array of people for the death of NA. .

We lost alot when na went down but when do people that are bonkers about old video games say things like that and put in a half ass effort on this site?

Seriously, look at that forum. Not saying some of it isn't deserved but jesus christ people we need to move on and create a new nintendoage and this site has serious potential.

I am not a schill for gocollect, but it's time to step up and make this site better with our combined knowledge.  I'd be surprised  If even 20% was gone for good based on the major collectors I've met here and even the casual ones. 

Let's step up and take the high road and if revenge or whatever is needed, why not make this better then N.A. 

If you dont like that idea that's cool, but you are probably part of the problem this wont achieve what is within grasp of this being a better nintendoage. 

Please to god tell me people don't read that and feel the need to add a new way to say f**k you dane. gocollect, or whoever, and rant on and on about the perceived only great site for collecting that is simply not the case. 

This has me a bit bummed and while  I guess I understand i didnt think that so many of us would take the low road. For the very first time , I'm a bit ashamed of being  a NA alumn.

Lol so I put 50 in doge the other day because why not. Made a hefty 2 dollar profit and sold out and my funds haven't came in to reinvest or transfer to my bank.

The logical thing would probably be to just wait till robinhood fixes my problem but I've been thinking if I can get in shape, run real fast, and then murder the possibly fictional character of one Mr "Robin Hood" in cold blood I could go buy a switch game ill never play. I evenbooted up the commodore today to see how possible this was? And with StarnTrek Voyager logic factored in, I proved  if I can do a slow walk on no incline i can catch that tight wearing tree rat and  it would butterfly effect that 50 bones back in my account. 

1st day wasnt a total success despite speaking with many people online and arguing the fact that all I I needed was a good playlist of montage music to break the speed of light , my nearly flawless calculations would be possible. Pretty sure they were just robin hood Peter pan or caption crunch or whatever schills anyway so I'm not discouraged.
