  1. I wonder if anyone could help me find the list someone had started tracking Sega Blockbuster/New Leaf rewriteable carts? I can't remember if it was on this forum, or maybe on reddit or sega-16 (unfortunately their search feature isn't working), or maybe somewhere else?

I've banned the user already - rather than making a thread in the future, if you just want to report something like this we'll handle pretty quickly (like you did - thank you for that).

Thanks very much! Tbh I couldn't find the report feature at first, there doesn't seem to be a way to report someone directly.  Unless I missed it, you can't do it through their profile, you can only report a message they send you

  3. Be careful out there. I left negative feedback in his profile, and I can provide screenshots of the lengthy email chain between me and "his friend"

Did he tell you to email the same person?

  4. If you get a message from Michaelxdrx (or any brand new account) telling you their friend has what you're looking for, be aware they're probably a scammer.

I just went through this with their "friend" Scott Jones, sccott896@gmail.com

When I asked for a picture of the item from him, he sent me one off Google images, the very same one I had already used in my own ISO post.

Other red flags we should always be on the lookout for: refusing payment services that offer buyers protection (i.e. PayPal g&s or venmo), sellers putting pressure on you as "they have another interested buyer", or sellers refusing to meet in person. And be sure to reverse image search pictures a seller sends you!

    Good luck in your search!

I recently found the Tanglewood soundtrack cart (with a full Collector’s Edition box), but I left a few feelers out that might still get back to me. If any come back with leads I’ll let you know.

Regarding Eternalist, I’m also looking for this one. I reached out to one of the backers and they said the cart never materialized (at least for them). So I’m trying to find out if these even truly exist beyond their Kickstarter promise.

Thank you! Yea they're turning out to be difficult to track down. Interesting about Externalist, would make sense if it never came to fruition, I haven't been able to find any pictures of one.

I assumed carts like this existed, but I never searched for them.  It's been a dream of mine (which I doubt I'll ever do cause I have 1,000 dreams like this) to make a special Genesis Homebrew where you have a midi plug-in on the cartridge (or maybe just use a Miracle Piano) and create a Genesis Synth.  I love a lot of chiptunes but there's something about that Yamaha YM2612 that I love.

You should go for it! I'd definitely buy one.

  6. ISO Post:
In search of any of the following Sega Genesis/Mega Drive homebrew releases:

    ▪️ 1985 World Cup (CIB)
▪️ BlowFish by Jredd (may never have been produced?)
▪️ Eternalist: A Telefuture Compilation (may never have been produced?)
    ▪️ Future 2612 by TH4 D34D (loose)
    ▪️ Mega Cheril Perils (CIB)
    ▪️ Mega Mindtris (CIB)
▪️ MegaXmas '89 (any color, loose)
    ▪️ Miniplanets (CIB)
▪️ Opeth Music Collection by FlosK (loose)
▪️ Tanglewood OST by BigEvilCorp (loose? CIB?)
▪️ YM2017 (original run LED cart) (loose? CIB?)

    Thank you!

Not really a new variant to add, but I notice the two 32x boxes I own have slightly different backs than you show.  The differences I see are (1) different screen shots along the left edge and (2) size of the "Genesis 32X is compatible with all Genesis units except Genesis CDX" at bottom center.

Interesting! Any chance you can post front/back pics of both? I'll add them to the list

Is there a mistake on Mega Bomberman 1st print? It states the first North American release is a clamshell, I thought ALL releases were only ever cardboard releases. Maybe some confusion with the PAL release?

Yes this is a mistake, there are not hardshell bomberman releases (that we know of). Will adjust in a bit

  10.  Thanks @Ampplays, I've added this new Lightening Force variant to the list. @supergamboy, the original listing is verified (a sealed copy opened), can you opine on which variant it was?

It seems some of the photos listed on this thread are from my game listings on eBay. I collect SEGA stuffs and can assist with verifying sleeves have stickers or other questions on items, if I have not sold it yet or it is in my collection. Your Spreadsheet has been a great help on building my collection.

Thanks @EJCPerformance, any help you can provide is always appreciated! I've added a new line for the Pele "Best Buy" yellow sticker variant. @supergamboy, you have the sticker variant listed as "verified", can you confirm which sticker version you saw? Also, I've never seen a regular style cartridge for Pele (and can't spot one on ebay), has anyone ever seen one of these before?

Thanks @isacin. Interesting that the number on the back of both boxes is different from the cartridges... I've updated the matrix with this Barney variant noting the color/BW manuals and VRC/ESRB ratings, can you confirm which copy had the BW manual? I'm presuming the ESRB one since it would likely been the later revision. @supergamboy , Can you verify the details of the copy you opened? (color/BW manual, VRC/ESRB rating).

Also, saw this NBA Jam TE "Only at Target" variant was recently posted on reddit, so I've added a line for it:

  11. So I've been reading about Sega's Accolade lawsuit and the four games retroactively licensed due to it, Al Michaels Announces HardBall III, Jack Nicklaus' Power Challenge Golf, Summer Challenge, & Super Off Road. Later copies of Jack Nicklaus' Power Challenge Golf would have a Sega Seal of Quality sticker added (specifically, it seems the "Includes Baltusrol" sticker variant got the SoQ sticker), but what bout the other three?

SegaRetro is vague, claiming Summer Challenge and Super Off Road were re-released "with a license", but not mentioning any added sticker/branding, and for HardBall III says it was "licensed during production". I couldn't find any examples of these three with any sort of SoQ sticker/branding after a quick ebay search, but given that Jack Nicklaus' PCG got it, it's possible the others may have, as well.

  12. For the non-ESRB Sega Classic variant of Golden Axe, the image shows a "megadrive" branded cart and "genesis" manual with black letterbox artwork. I am seeing a few of those on eBay (1, 23, 4) but I'm seeing just as many (1, 2, 34, 5, 6, 7) with the standard "genesis" branded cart and standard artwork manual... it's possible there are just a whole mess of swaps/mismsatches, but for how many I'm seeing, it seems maybe a bit more likely that there were two non-ESRB variants. Thoughts?

Disregard! I am a silly billy, and did not see that it's already listed on the sheet! 😅
