  1. Documenting everything is an absolute must...without it there's no way of remembering every tiny little difference of many games...the problem is simply that nobody wants to just "share" their findings because of all the long hard work put into such a list...and I can't blame anyone for not wanting to do so...I know I won't just give the internet my list all willy nilly...but it's not simply because of selfishness...alot of it is because there is a lot to Interpret when deciding what is a variant or not a lot of times...I mean for example...loose games alone, let's say I have 1800 documented variants and 1800 games I've collected over the years of each one...every single game is different no two alike ...there's always going to be the question of where to draw the line...and that's hard to understand for anyone who hasn't truly dove into the rabbit hole and seen first hand how many variations there are for some games no matter how small....believe me I would love to have an ongoing conversation with other fellow variant collectors of nes games to see what I've missed and to fill in their gaps as well...it's simply extremely hard to do when they either don't go as far as I do or they won't consider something a variant or maybe they havnt documented the games correctly or the same way ....
  2. That's cool...but for idiots like me it doesn't matter much...a variants no matter how big or small is still a variant haha...
  3. I see I see...he's not doing EVERY variant ...just the major variants and label/screw variants...that's cool...everyone has their thing...I'm sad to say I am one of those idiot variant collectors as well...except I take it waaaaay farther down the rabbit hole hahaha....thank God I chose to only do loose games....there are SO MANY ...it's definitely not for everyone ...it may sound insane to have 10 copies of 10 - yard Fight or 12 copies of golf or 9 copies of duck Hunt or excitebike but it keeps me going...the thrill of the hunt ...finding things that are beyond rare that nobody else cares about is awesome to me....and you learn a TON about games and their histories....I have so freaking many games I'm so stupid hahaha...if anyone ever wants to chat or ask about any variants I would love to talk about anything....oh...and the Mega Man picture...if that guy is looking for only the main label variants...he forgot there is a mega man 1 with an oval seal also....and if he wants to dive down my rabit hole he's gonna need about 5 more mega mans haha...you all have a good weekend!!!
  4. I agree....if you own a game store you should know a few proper ways to take care of a rare games needs...knowing the correct way to clean a rare game is a MUST...I personally think that's to high of a price vs condition for that game...but I thank you for posting it...I've always gotten a lot of help collecting games on this site from this community of awesome people...thank you thank you and you guys keep being awesome...
  5. Yeah I mean...I'm just a normal guy with a regular job so I mean 15k-20k is an absurd amount of money for me haha...and I understand there are people out there that make a lot of money and there's nothing wrong with that or them paying a lot for something they really want...God knows I would do the same...do I think Stadium Events is rare enough to pay 15k-20k for...sure...it's not easy to find to even buy if I had thousands even saved up...now when you start adding the manual and box or even unopened...yes I agree the price should go WAY up in a hurry haha...I know hopeful but I'm hoping somene out there one of these days will sell me one for right around 15 to 20k when I have it saved up...I can hope hahaha
  6. I would have to save up big time or find someone that would take payments haha...for a loose copy I honestly dont even know what they go for these days...15k....20k...I do have some advice for you though if you are going for the 677...get your heavy hitters FIRST... i know it goes against every fiber of your being to do that but if I had to do it over again I would go for the rare expensive heavy hitters right out of the gate...you will always be able to get your hands on 600-630 games....it's that last expensive handful that you want to get sooner then later
