Well, my actual high score just now was 334,940 (stage 3) but I couldn't pause in time to get a photo, and then I was basically done. Unfortunately I couldn't try this out until an hour ago because of a stomach bug going through my family. The game isn't too bad, but the hardest thing was holding down the A button the whole time; it might be better playing on something better than a GBA SP, or if they had made B accelerate and A jump--I'm finding it actually painful to play it for long! I also should have looked at the manual first, because I think the power-ups are key. Ah well. Happy New Year!
Oh, and I see I grabbed an old Post-It in my haste as well. That should say "ecmyers"

I'm actually glad to see that someone is sticking with original hardware for these contests! If it wouldn't have killed participation, I would have made that a requirement.
Oh, well if you want original original hardware...
I've been kind of curious about biverting an original DMG at some point, but I do find the GBA to be my favorite form factor, which is why I did the 101-screen mod on that. Though playing on the Game Boy Player is also a really nice option.

Thank you, yes! That would be awesome!

I would have gone with my social media username (ecmyers) instead of my actual name.

Fun game! I only just discovered you can blow on the bubble continuously by holding down the A button. The way you rotate around the bubble keep messing me up though. I wish I could spend all night playing it, but alas, I must move on with my life. Thanks for the tip on the pink palette, @Splain.
BTW, does anyone know how to change your username on this forum?

Once again I need to find some way to play this. It's not available on 3DS so I may be SOL on it. I'd prefer not to shell out $35+ on a puzzle game that I'm going to suck at.
Actually, it's more about blowing.

Alas, I didn't have much time to play this week, and my first run (the first time I've played this since I was a kid!) was my best. Played on Game Boy Player with a CARBY video adapter for HD output. (The first photo is from captured video, because I didn't know about the Post-It requirement, and the second is from the actual TV.)

And don't judge me because I've played hello kitty world. It was with my daughter, I swear.
Hey, Hello Kitty World is a great game! It's basically a colorized, reskinned Famicom port of Balloon Kid on Game Boy.

Just wanna make sure I get a score in before the deadline! On the one hand, I'm slowly improving, but on the other hand, I don't think I have the patience to put the time into improving.
Also, how do I switch to snowboarder mode? I vaguely recall that mentioned somewhere once upon a time, but I can't remember. Does it affect gameplay at all?
