So with that said, I’d like to question the merit that the “Carolina” collection holds. Dain is still alive and kicking and couldn’t give a rats ass about game collectibles anymore...so why is there a “collection” with his name on it?

This has been my take too, while everyone has been flinging flaming torches at GoCollect, if I had any resentment to pass it would be to Dain. 

The way it all went down, the way it was handled, was very middle finger to the community - I feel that if he wanted to sell NA and keep its legacy alive he could have started with the community (as noted, others were offering to buy it from GC). 

Oh well, what's done is done I guess.  I feel bad for those who donated to NA to keep it alive, although I feel worst for all the admins/mods that put all their time into the site and apparently wasn't even thanked by Dain at the end :(.

I won't spoil Crown Jewel either, but there were a few surprises.  The ending was a head scratcher for me, trying to see the end game.

I thought the show was decent, but the matches I cannot say were all that great...very interesting developments with the wrestlers not being allowed to leave - wow.

EDIT - woah read about it, apparently it's a 20-hour flight back and several SD wrestlers may not make it to tonight's show in time.  I better tune in lol.

WOW!  This is INSANE - I guess I didn't realize they were going to get rid of "NintendoAge".  Here I have been cautiously defending "business decisions" but NA has a legacy they are just flushing down the trash - wow!

I must be mistaken on this thread...a spin through snowy weather in my Tahoe is quite joyful, followed up by a bottle of Pinot Grigio and a viewing of Universal Soldier (Goldberg FTW) - sounds like a fun evening

I think this is a good point, IMO WWE is handling great opportunities roughly.  The Fiend could have been the coolest gimmick in forever if they played it right, but they flushed it and probably won't recover.  Asuka's mist should have been rarely used, kind of like how we rarely see Finn's Demon.  There is no suspense factor.

Alister Black is pushed as some badass, but I agree I have been super bored with him - I think it's because I didn't watch NXT and really have no attachment or emotional development yet.  His entrance is really over the top and kind of lame in my eyes, wish they would have brought him in with a splash and worked him up to the way he's portrayed now.

The Fury/Velasquez stuff seems overly forced as well, not enjoying the "flow" of it - pretty clear attempt at ratings draw.

Well, maybe Crown Jewel will surprise me :).

For the repetitiveness of AEW, I feel it's very mild and maybe it's because the roster is thin and still growing.  I'm not biting on the inner circle thing yet lol.

Watch WWE regularly, finding the Cain/Fury stuff to be very fairy tailish, and apparently upsetting veterans as they are being shot to the top as a cash grab sort of thing.

Was really into the Fiend until HiTC.  Now losing interest in all of WWE, nothing is really catching me lately...huge Brock and Balor fan and they are stale/injured if I recall correctly.  Still predicting a Demon vs Fiend clash maybe for Wrestlemania if Fiend makes it that long.

AEW seemed really good at first, but does feel repetitive lately - I really like their time limits and feel their wrestling is more entertaining (aggressive).

I should give NXT a shot but never really have...

How epic would it be for Garopolo to beat Brady in the SB?  Haha.

As a Packers fan, I'm thrilled at a 7-1 start, and we're still a blooming with all the off season changes.

Now if those damn Vikings would lose a game the NFC North would be a little clearer.

Yep I don't disagree at all.  Just reminding folks that all the "corporate" takeover was accepted with open arms from the prior owner of NA, unfortunately.  When a business takes over something with minimal if any direct profits, of course they won't invest much time/energy/resources on that asset .  The fact they've left NA standing is notable IMO (even if it's used to advertise Heritage/WATA stuff and/or data mine).

Thus I'm glad this thread was opened and I encourage the community be respectful to/with/about NA.  I personally think some of the posts over on NA as of late are a bit childish and scream entitlement problems and very much come off as VGS vs NA.  I'll leave it at that, it's sad enough to see NA fall apart, let alone pour gas on the fire as it burns.  I hope we're better than that

As for wiping positions, am I the only "freak" that wipes from the front?  Such a norm for me now I never thought about it all these years, except when the VGS/NA community start discussing ha!  Everyone else really reaches to the back, what???????

As for the showering and legs/feet - you guys truly are animals if you're not washing these areas of your body - especially feet lmao.  One does not have to sit down to do this, but apparently it takes some of you two hands to do it lmao.

Business Analyst - very uneventful mental grind work.

I like this thread quite a bit, at least as an attempt to be respectful of NA.  One thing I'll mention that might get a lil heat, is that while everyone is bothered by corporate America, not many folks seem bothered that Dain essentially took a sledge hammer to the foundation of NA when he sold it swiftly and quietly.  He could have been more open to the community, whom seemed open to potentially purchasing and taking the reigns over.

I really think the various negative vibes against NA's new owners are a tad bit out of line - they are a business unfortunately and someone handed them the keys.  Yes, the NA foundation was cracking a bit under Dain, but I get the "Jesse driving away maniacally in the Breaking Bad finale" sense with Dain's sale :(.

I hope NA's new owners do make it a nice shiny place, and I'll happily live on both sites until I cannot.

Interesting - I just read they were coming back on Sunday, permanently (and on Sunday to throw shade at Chick-Fil-A).

I really like Popeyes seasoning on their breading, so definitely look forward to trying this (and glad to see the reviews here are solid).

The Scoreboard was actually one of the big pushes when I bought my AVS, it would be sweet if it could be magically ported somehow.  This is my first VGS post...weird lol.
