    lol

All that aside, Mahomes was the better player and led his team to a win on an injured foot, a high ankle sprain lol

Not to mention the pressure on Burrow. Come on lol

As upset and disappointed (and angry as I was yesterday) as I am over the Bengals loss, I can't be mad at the Chiefs. They played the better game. I can't just be mad at the refs despite a few very questionable calls, or at any Bengal for that matter. One bad play or or one bad call shouldn't make the win or lose difference. Yes I know it does sometimes but they feel just like excuses. Though I think there were just so many things against them last night. Welp, til next season I guess. They'll be back, mark my words, this Bengals team is not going anywhere anytime soon.

  2. Hey all! I've been a part of this community since 2014 back during the NA days, and though I really don't collect much anymore, I'm still gaming when I can and still visit this site at least once a week.

I'm excited to launch a project I've been working on several weeks, my first ever YouTube channel, focused on gameplay videos and reviews! Please no harsh criticism, I've never done this before, it's been a lot of work for me, but it's also been a lot of fun.

Episode 1 will be up Feb 1st! The plan is to release a new video weekly but I'm playing by ear right now. Thanks in advance for any support, even if just to check it out for a minute!

Unless you get some sort of lizard or predatory insect/spider voting in this thread, I'm pretty sure that this should be a sweep of answer #1 to all questions except the last one, which should be #2 simply due to how hardcore roaches are at breeding and surviving.

Truth. Cockroaches will outlast us all and every other creature.

  4. Love movie and this series. This was my high school / college years so i aged with the characters and it became a sort of coming of age story to me. I gave it a 10 because of how much I've watched it and it's sequels but it probably doesn't really deserve it. But it's still incredibly enjoyable to me.

Now I'm curious - did this influence how you feel about subscriptions versus ownership of media today?

A lot of game collectors have very strong opinions on the topic, but I doubt many grew up with such a strict "rental-only" rule regarding their games.

I'm not sure if that influenced anything but I hate subscriptions, much prefer ownership, that goes for anything. I hated having to rent 80% of the games I played back in the day. But that's also what got me into collecting later on, buying all the games I rented and never got to own.

  6. Hard to narrow it down to 3 big moments. Most of my time gaming is made up of a ton of little moments. When I was younger I made a bunch of friends because we'd bond over games.

The first game I ever beat was Super Mario Bros 2, I'll never forget that. I was probably 7 or 8. I remember sitting at the ending screen watching Mario sleep for like an hour expecting him to wake up and for there to be more.

Super Mario World was the second game I ever beat, which I played along with a childhood friend. It was so much fun bonding with him over SNES, he introduced me to that system, and we haven't spoken in many years but I'll always remember him and the times we had because of the SNES

Super Mario 64 for the first time is still the biggest moment in my gaming life. I had only gotten SNES the year prior and I was not at all interested in N64 or 3D games. Then one day I decided to play Mario 64 at a Blockbuster demo unit and was completely blown away like no other game before or after it. My parents wouldn't let me get an N64 so on my Christmas vacation in 1996 they rented N64 and Mario 64 and all I did that entire week was play it til I beat it. In March 1997 I finally got my own system, but I wasn't allowed to have any games for it, only rent them. September 1997 I finally bought Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64 and played them to death. Super Mario 64 was one of the first games I ever 100% completed. Probably the second one, after Super Mario Kart. Still have so many memories attached to Mario 64, more than any other game.

And honorable mention goes to beating Dark Souls for the first time which was only 3 or 4 years ago. I'll never forget that either. That game tormented me for almost a decade, and I really thought it was too hard for me. One day I sat down and just vowed to beat it no matter what, and 60+ hours later I did. Best gaming moment for me in the last 20 years.

  7. Haven't played much this past year but of the games I played for the first time:

    S-Tier: TMNT: Shredder's Revenge

A-Tier: Elden Ring, Aladdin (Genesis), Kirby and the Forgotten Land

B-Tier: Stray, Pac-Man World Re-Pac, Metroid Dread, Gran Turismo 7, Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (Genesis), Kingdom Hearts Final Mix

C-Tier: Dragon Quest (Switch remake), World of Illusion Starring Mickey & Donald (Genesis)

Aside from Elden Ring I only listed games I've completed or at least played a lot of. I played a handful of other games that I played in the past but didn't list those, only listed games I played or beat for the first time last year.

  8. Love this game. Easy 9/10.

When this game came out I refused to play it though. This is because Super Mario RPG on SNES was one of my favorite games of the time (still is) and this game was announced as Super Mario RPG 2, which naturally made me very excited. Once I saw this looked nothing like this SMRPG and ended getting a name change to Paper Mario, I refused to play this game. It looked so kiddy and dumb to me at the time. Eventually I came around and played it several years later and ended up loving it. Not quite as much as SMRPG but just barely a notch below it. Still an N64 favorite for me.

  9. DuckTales on NES was given to me for my 7th or 8th birthday, I forget the exact year, probably 1990 or 1991. It was the last thing my grandma gave me before she passed many years ago so it's a game I always associate with my birthday but also with my grandma. Unfortunately that original cart is long gone as my parents loved throwing my stuff out.

I also associate Donkey Kong 64 with Christmas because I got it for Christmas 1999, and played it all day, literally all day to the point where I almost beat it that same day. Some of the in game music reminds me of Christmas too.

  10. I gave it a 7, I think it's a great start to an amazing franchise but I personally never enjoyed it that much. I find it hard to believe anyone ever got through it without a guide. Had I not followed one (20 years after the fact, mind you) I would have never finished it. Finding the dungeons and navigating the world was too cryptic for me. I didn't play it growing up so maybe I missed out the whole "spend 100s of hours on an NES til you figure out where everything is" thing. At any rate, it's certainly not a bad game, and it launched a masterpiece franchise so that's definitely saying something. I just wish I enjoyed it more than I actually do.

  11. I typically replay my favorite games from time to time and the shorter they are the more likely I am to replay them. Chances are though 100+ hour games like Breath of the Wild, Fallout 3/New Vegas/4, Elder Scrolls 3/4/5, Xenosaga, Xenoblade...I'll never play again T least fully. I can see myself jumping into Skyrim again one day just to mess around but I certainly can't see myself doing the entire game again.
