  1. Working on my backlog going to finally finish Twilight Princess. I started it on the Wii but keep getting the glitch at the part where you have to warp the cannon. Tried a few times and always had the same problem. Now, I am playing on Wii-U, so it should be fine.

  2. 9/10. If I were to base the score after my first play through. Which was on the Wii-U. I would rate it a 7. The breaking weapons and cooking really bothered me. After giving BOTW a second go, on Switch this time. I was more prepared for the weapons and cooking. I quite enjoyed my second play. Once I realized that the meals can give me stat boost, cooking was better. With the weapons I went in with the plan of use whatever I have, but save one big weapon for a tough enemy. Then those things became non issues and I could enjoy the exploration more.

Honestly, Castlevania is one of the most consistently-awesome side-scrolling franchises ever made. I think every main game in the series is top-of-its-class up through SotN, although I admittedly stopped playing them after that, with the exception of Adventure: ReBirth. It's a shame Adventure: ReBirth apparently existed only as WiiWare and seems to be basically unobtainable now, because it was truly exceptional. I'm tempted to rank it my second favorite game in the series right behind Super Castlevania and fighting Castlevania III for the spot. Yes, it's that good (in my opinion).

Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin on the DS are worth checking out. If you haven’t already.

I'd forgotten about that.  There's a particular version of the Model 1 console that was given a crap-tastic sound chip for some reason....

There are a few quick ways to tell if it is the good sound systems without turning the power on to see the nonTMSS startup screen.  The the ring around the top will have the “High Definition Graphics” and the FCC ID will be longer on the good systems. That being said you still need to use the headphone jack on the front to access the good tones.

My honest recommendation to you is that if you enjoyed RDR you will LOVE RDR2. It’s the same just... better. And more of it.

I just want to make a counter point here. RDR is fun, and the story and world of RDR2 are quite good. There is just too many problems in RDR2, that turn it into a chore and not a game. I don’t want to worry about sleeping, shaving, eating, drinking, doing chores, missing missions because I took too long on another mission, just to name a few. Also the pace at which you move in RDR2 feels like I am constantly walking through water. RDR overall is a faster paced and more enjoyable game.
