It’s been like a week. I don’t really talk to the neighbors but I think I’ve determined the source of the death stench. We were downtown for a hockey game this afternoon and on a walkway lined with flowering trees very similar to what they have in their front yard. The death stench was present there too. It’s got to be that tree. I can’t remember now if I go through this every spring. This is only going to strengthen my household argument that I need to invest in a chainsaw.
No need; just pound a copper nail into it and you won't have this problem next Spring.

A great disappointment of mine was back when I discovered eBay in 1999, I wanted to get a sealed copy of Final Fantasy. Yeah, even back then we had issues with re-seals. I noticed shelf wear on the box under the seal of one I bought, so I contacted eBay. I needed greater proof, so I opened it and sure enough the game was complete but the contents were 100% not new, and I got a refund.
I'm more shocked that you got an ebay refund back in 1999 when people could still pay with money orders.
Or that customer support actually gave a shit (or existed).

How was the food?
AMAZING! Their egg rolls were something else!
They were a smaller buffet (had about 8 different meat/veggie offerings and then rice or noodles) but all of it was quite tasty. I miss that place, we used to hit it a few times a month.
Also, the food at Ripper's Tap House was good as well. At least the potato skins and pretzel sticks; that's all I remember having.

Used to see a lot of bands before a gig at Rascal House next to Peabody’s
Yeah, but on a random weekday at lunchtime at a quite small buffet? (like 25 seats tops)

In any case, we can always enjoy the art, and their 1998 album in particular holds a few of my favorite tunes. And I thought Ripper did a hell of a job a few years later when he had to step in.
Honorable mentions: Gettysburg trilogy, The Hunter, Watching Over Me
Loosely related to that- I saw one of Iced Earth's bassists for a hot minute (Dennis Hayes) a few times at a local Chinese buffet. We had no idea who he was, but you could tell he was some type of rocker, and this place was right down the street from the bar that Ripper owned. Did some Googling after the second time we saw him and found him!

Came with a dust cap too. I opened one back in 1993.

This one showed up in large quantities around the same time Donkey Kong Land III on Gameboy and F-Zero (players choice) for SNES were available in sealed bricks

I don't think that's a self-addressed stamped envelope, as most people didn't have access to a postage meter and then the company wouldn't have stamped their return address. I suspect it was the call-in option you mentioned.

Phil collins has taken out: Guns N’ Roses, the offspring, rhcp and nirvana….
Don’t get too popular around here or you’ll get sent home by Phil collins and Eddie money
You're too young to remember the "I'm drunk and Phil Collins is the shit" thread from waaaaaay back in the old days.
Apparently there's something to that!

I have a few, so take your pick:
- I wrestled a bear in college (and lost miserably)
- I beat a Stanley Cup champ/Olympic Gold medalist at NHL 96 on the Genesis
- I won an Xbox Series X from Taco Bell

Hold on a second, I'm not a card grader guy, but that's signed and I thought signed items by their very nature were considered damaged and could, therefore, never grade a 10?
Has PSA changed their rules?
That's a sticker signature, so they would likely count the sticker as part of the card.

I leave my stuff in the garage for a few days and that seems to help. Do not use dryer sheets, I have games that have been shipped that way and they still strongly smell like Bounce five years later.
The trick for dryer sheets is to use a used one, not a new one. Still has enough scent in it but not an overpowering one.
I helped a guy at the grocery store from having Bounce-tasting bread; he was about to put them in the same grocery bag at self checkout!

What about stuff like Desert Falcon and Zaxxon?

I actually had the opposite problem. My dad was the picky eater, so we had a general rotation of the same foods.
When I was on my own, I tried some of the so-called awful foods like brussel sprouts and what not, and found that most of them are pretty good when done right.
Still don't like broccoli or asparagus. But neither did my dad. (Until he tried broccoli with cheese and suddenly liked that, but I was already doing my own thing at that point.)
Asparagus in an air fryer is amazing. But your pee is gonna reek something awful that night.

Cheap or not, how can you not like chicken?! And a properly cooked hamburger is delightful too!
Speaking of, I had a medium rare burger once. No problems afterwards and 100% no regrets. Best burger I had too. It was at high-end restaurant too. They didn't want to serve it to me but they did and it's ruined all other burgers for the rest of my life.
I've never been brave enough to try it again but man do I want too.
I like a medium steak but I want my burger medium well at a minimum, preferably well.

The real question I have for you is which is the main course and which one is the desert?
Probably both at the same time? Could get a Shamrock Shake for dessert.
As a hilarious side note, I have a Cologuard test here that I haven't taken yet. That day might be the day, and my doctor might get a super panicked phone call when they analyze it!

We should all "sign up" in this thread like "I'm gonna go get one on DayX" and we all agree to go on the same day and then post photos of our Double Downs and eat 'em together like the buds we are.
I'll see if there's one close to Skyline so I can really punish my intestines. (And the work toilets)

I'll have to pass since I can't eat meat or dairy, so I'm not sure what would actually be left of a sandwich with meat and dairy removed hahahahah!
A pile of greasy coating flakes like the bonus ones Long John's gives you?

Dunno if it's been covered yet, but what percentage of the total graded games are these error ones?
We aren't hearing about all of the ones that seem to have been graded "fairly", so it's harder to get a grip on how widespread this is. I doubt it's 25% though.

Those are shadows in the pic from my phone.
$33 shipped to the US; exact (minus US ship) charge to other countries.
Thank you!

Pick up Judgment for your preferred gaming console. You can go in and play Mahjong in some of the casinos, and you learn a lot while playing it.
I tried to learn some of the other games like Shogi but couldn't quite get it. Mahjong reminds me of Gin Rummy.

I feel confused. If you're not referring to the low quality counterfeit stuff that retrousb, rose colored gaming, etc were cranking out, then what sort of poorly made counterfeit trinkets are you referring to?
You must subscribe to the theory that hate clicks are the way to go, or at least your "persona" does.
If you think RetroUSB and Rose Colored were low quality, then you've obviously never seen one in person.

This makes me wonder, if you can go the other way around.
I know that people use their freezers to remove security stickers, but I wonder if it'll work for a label.
Not very well.
I've done successful transplants on labels for cracked shells before. As long as the label doesn't have existing damage it comes off very easily with a hairdryer.

Collectors and prototypes: have times changed much in your opinion?

So....why don't the few of you that think you can do better, start your own preservation society and show everyone how easy it is? You've already got a guy supposedly sitting on enough prototypes to do it.
