JVOSS | 1,762
So we have a new Nintendo switch and my daughter loves to play Monkey Ball. Dose anyone know of a controller for the switch that is in the style of a arcade joystick or like the Xbox Adaptive controllers?
captmorgandrinker | 1,650 Administrator ·
As far as arcade sticks, looks like Hori makes one: https://www.amazon.com/Switch-Fighting-Stick-Officially-Licensed-Nintendo/dp/B01AJSAAV6 Not sure if that fits the bill? 8BitDo makes a bigger one that you can program: https://www.amazon.com/8Bitdo-Arcade-Stick-Switch-Windows-nintendo/dp/B08GJC5WSS
JVOSS | 1,762
Thanks @captmorgandrinker, these might fit the bill. we also looked in to the xbox one https://www.xbox.com/en-US/accessories/controllers/xbox-adaptive-controller. has anyone tried the game cube controller to switch adapter yet? This looks to be a viable option as we have the controllers for the game cube. https://www.amazon.com/Gamecube-Controller-Adapter-Compatible-Vibration/dp/B07NVQNFGK Edited December 6, 2020 by JVOSS
DefaultGen | 5,443
For Monkey Ball, does the d-pad work to control the game? That’s a pretty analog game, so double check how arcade sticks would work. Also what would be different between a joycon and GC controller in terms of usability. Off topic, but the Xbox Adaptive controller is a really excellent thing. I think MS’s best contribution to gaming in general might be controller design.
