What would your ranking of Mega Man classics series games be?

Classic Mega Man games would be 1-11 and Rockman & Forte.

I more or less stopped playing Mega Man after the NES, but I'd rank those entries as follows:

2 > 3 > 5 > 1 > 4 > 6

2 and 3 could flip for top spot, they're both really good. I think 5 is really under-rated; it has some of the more unique bosses and stages. Mega Man 4 to me is over-rated. The stages feel less combat heavy and are based more around environmental hazards and cheap deaths than the other games. I know they all have a bit of that, but 4 just seems to rely on it more than others, to me anyway.

That said, the NES entries are some of my favorite games of all time, so even the ones I've ranked lower are still good games.

They are technically in the Classic series, however, I’d probably rank them as their own thing.

Interesting rankings. Despite some of the bad level design, I actually also enjoyed Mega Man II quite a bit, maybe even more than the first GB Mega Man game. Mega Man II just felt more like a Mega Man game to me.

I'm in the minority with MM7 being my personal #1 followed by MM5.

I totally agree with you. Mega Man 7 is an underrated classic.
