MrWunderful | 2,927
Has anyone documented anything about different Genesis box types and artwork design? Cardboard plastic EA tall, “fat” grid style artwork grid style artwork w/cardboard red style artwork ballistic style cardboard The more I get into it, the more i realize how oddly inconsistent they are. Probably had to do with sega being more lax with their licensing. Let me know if anyone has any knowledge, or has seen anything online.
Strange | 1,700
EA’s inconsistency with their Genesis cases are maddening all by themselves. The Genesis black grid set is one of my favorites but one irritating thing about those games is the different sized Genesis logos on the spines. 2
a3quit4s | 4,124
@MrWunderful this is an interesting read https://www.gamesradar.com/an-extremely-interesting-history-of-game-packaging/2/ I’m also sure there is something at Sega retro that would cover this but it’s really hard to find exactly what your are looking for there. As far as actual documentation, that would be a daunting task but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if someone out there did it Edited September 11, 2022 by a3quit4s
