So I've began to come back to Adventures of the Stalk of Celery after getting a couple of ideas. Level 4 will be like the old Game and Watch game "Manhole", while level 5 will be like the Atari 2600 game based on Garfield. Here is the background for level 4.

Mr. Celery will walk across the screen beginning at one of four places. Your job is to make sure Mr. Celery gets to the other side. To do that, you need to move a manhole (or in this case a little island) over the holes before Mr. Celery gets to them so Mr. Celery doesn't fall into the water. Perhaps Mr. Celery's friend Mr. Yrelec will make an appearance.

You need to press the joystick in one of four diagonal ways. This will be the first time I will do diagonal input on Channel F without other movement. I tried to make the islands look like the ones in Super Mario World (especially the watery world in level 1 of it.) I especially wanted to make a whole bunch in the background as well, so this turned out bettter than what I had hoped using only 4 colors.

I had to spend a little time trying to get the level to display correctly so I had to squeeze it in somehow. The game is still 16k and it will probably stay that way once level 4 is finished. I may have to bump the size up to put in level 5.

Carl's Jr.'s Famous Star burgers are yummy. Their fries are great. My favorite fast food burger is the Whopper, though. Now, if only Burger King had Carl's Jr. style fries...
