Ah, you know you are doing eBay right when you get one of these:
    image.png.5029b570756955ba551faa0aaa2ba9f8.png

I offered the seller $130 for a CIB Maui Mallard on SNES...pricecharting value currently sits at $167.50, so I wouldn't have defined the (~22% below "market" value) offer as "lowball", but it was significantly lower than the price the seller had listed - $900...I like to send reasonable offers to sellers that have a way out of line price because I feel like maybe it will alert them to what I assume is an error in their listing...and that is exactly what happened here! S/he lowered the Buy It Now price from $900 to $350 shortly after my "lowball" offer.  Too bad I'll never get to buy it or any of her/his other 5 items 😭...block listed as I am...I cannot overcome the brilliant and shrewd business acumen of this eBay seller. You've won again, crystalsthings!!!

That box looks like it has some sharpie touchup anyway.

looks like they were right wing Boogaloo bois according to to that article? So then if so, yeah, its a MAGA Trump Supporter thing.

Yeah it was all a conspiracy. How about the post office next door that was burnt down then? That doesn't count either I suppose. They are always bad, we are always good. That must be it.

I don't see what they worry about. Storming government buildings is a MAGA Republican thing.

The police station in Minneapolis that is still a hole in the ground would say otherwise. There are crazy and opertunists all over.

If anybody here is gonna do that, coordinate and don't drive the price up amongst ourselves, eh?

I'd pitch in on a community bid.  I think Jeff and the Sage make a cute couple.

@B.A. it’s sad you don’t see the old characters anymore. I remember seeing them as a kid at the local McDonald’s where you could meet them and take pictures.

They don't even use Ronald anymore.  It's like they decided they no longer liked fun.

  6. Mac Tonight was awesome!  There was a McDonalds near me that had a life-size version of him up until a couple years ago.  All the old McDonalds characters kicked ass.  Mayor McCheese, Grimace, The Hamburgler, Fry guys.  Great stuff

I’m in the midst of moving and cannot say enough good things about the HDX tough totes. They come in plenty of sizes although I find the 27 gallon to be perfect for me. Stack a layer of CIB, put a bunch of bubble wrap on top, stack another layer, more bubble wrap. The 27 gallon can do like 2/3 layers of CIB. If you want to be extra careful I would pack them in smaller totes with maybe 2 layers. I used a 17 gallon on my CD jewel case stuff ps1/Dreamcast and I think you could probably fit two layers of CIB in it.

Also totes over boxes any day of the week if you’ve got valuables. I only packed ps2/3/xbox/360 and other random stuff I had in boxes. Everything else is totes.

I used these as well, though they get spendy quick.   Sams Club has some very similar ones for a few bucks cheaper.  They don't mix/match very well though (I bought some of both) as they have slightly different dimensions.

Considering it's age and the fact that it lived in an attic for 35 years, opening that flap will definitely cause noticeable damage.  The printed color will crack and flake.  Again, unless the original owner opened it for photos, even though it was old and toasty, the edges of the box were probably in nice condition.  Not any more.

@Armageddon Potato I'm not dragging you down, but I am pointing out these details.  What's done is done, but this is still a nice item.

If the pictures are in order, the flaps already had evidence that they were opened.  Assuming that is the case, there would be zero reason not to check the contents regardless of an old lady's story.

It probably means that they didn't sell enough units to totally sell out their first batch ordered from their overseas factory.  In that light, it makes perfect sense, and is a good thing for folks who were on the fence about buying one, with no effect for folks who stormed the beaches to preorder as soon as it was possible to do so.

That doesn't jive with the talk of the 1st batch being available in Feb though.  From everything I read they are shipping them out in order of reservation.

  10. I don't understand how their reservation que works.  If you sign up now it says availability after Q2 2022.  For me it says I put in my reservation on July 17th, and still says my expected availability is after Q2 2022.  So it's exactly the same as a person who pre-orders today?  That makes no sense.

  11. I've only played StarCraft 64, but I played it A LOT!.  My roommate and I at the time would play for hours, set up 2 TVs with a splitter and cover half of the TV so we couldn't see what the other was doing.

I will still play it once a year or so now, I gave it a 7.

Can someone tell me why Dragon Quest Builders 1 is so expensive but part 2 is so cheap? Isn’t part 2 the better game?? Is part 1 already becoming a collectible?

I liked part one much better, am a big fan.  I thought part 2 was a no fun chore.  Though I doubt that has much to do with driving the price.
