Kc has a decent secondary. They struggle vs the run which eats time. Their D has been better, and KC is a really hard place to play. I wouldn't be surprised by a lower scoring game than expected. Might still go over but im not certain it will go way over as much as you seem it might.

Karma for Houston coach making the boneheaded decision to kick that field goal. Most coaches are so bad (passive) in big games.
-
Nice win 49ers, thoroughly dominated in all facets of the game including coaching.

My picks:
Vikings over 49ers-we match up scarily well with them. Shades of 1988 anyone?!?
Seahawks over Packers-Wilson magic coming right up
Ravens over Titans-Jackson is too tough, although I think it’s closer than most think
KC over Texans-Blowout city in this game. Mahomes goes off.

The Baylor job just opened up with Rhule going to the Carolina Panthers...
No difference in stature from MN, in fact it’s probably worse going to a lesser conference from a prestige standpoint.

Im reading all your posts to my coworker who is a huge Vikings fan (but from Los Angeles) and he is cracking up! (He agrees 100% btw)
Add in the fact that the Hail Mary was coined on a play that knocked the best Vikings team ever assembled (So coined by my dad and others around to remember) with a very controversial push off from the Cowboys and it has not been easy being a Vikings fan.

You don't beat the 49ers by stopping the pass though, you have to stop the run first. Entirely different defensive scheme will be needed for the 9ers.
I’m not worried about that, I’m more worried about Kittle than anything. Our run D is stout, as long as Kendricks and Barr stay healthy. They went out against the Packers the last game and it fell apart. Having Barr on Kittle at some point in the passing game scares the hell out of me though.

49ers D probably not going to allow that
Quite frankly, 49ers D has looked pretty below average the last month of the season, allowing big games to the Falcons and Rams and an absolute monster game to the Saints.

And our D is the same, I mean we made Drew Brees look really uncomfortable back there yesterday and have done that with a lot of QB’s this year.

Thats more of a fluke than a measurable metric. Garappolo had been known to fumble though.
not only are the niners rated a higher D, they allowed less total yards. With the fact that cousins isnt very mobile, the niners Pass rush will do more damage.
I know Jimmy G isnt “more” mobile either, I just think thats wherE the game will be one.
my worry is about Diggs against the secondary so if they can shut him down, that will do it.
I think the entire NFC is a toss up and I’ve been saying that since week 6. All of the 4 teams left have looked dominant at times and terrible at other times. While Minnesota went 0-3 against the teams left, we largely outplayed them in those games, and our nerdy stats say we’re the most dangerous team left in the NFC (O and D ratings). It’s simple to me though, if we block well we win. We have tons of weapons, and Kirk is insanely good when he has time. If we don’t, we lose. I think Seattle beats GB in a very close game in the other game and Baltimore and KC win and have a classic in the AFC title game.

I dont think cousins has a chance against niners D, looking forward to that game.
just need the seachickens to lose to make my weekend complete!
Lol, I don’t think Jimmy has a prayer against the Vikes D.

Finish GameCube set. Only about 110 away with nearly all the tough ones done already.

66/100- without seeing any of the comic book movies (yawn) and only a couple horror movies on this list. I actually prefer the movies 90-100 versus 1-10 but overall a fine list. Get Out was awful.

Thanks. Do the SNES boxed games hang off at all on the shelves?
On most shelves, yes. About half an inch when stood up the long way.

That's what they all say before moving on. He's gone in 2 years, max
Yeah, nearly all agree with that. But it won’t be Washington if he does.
Funny thing is that I was not impressed with his coaching during the big games....until yesterday. He was previously passive, yesterday he was aggressive. Going for it on 4th downs, more aggressive play calls (big props to new OC).

Fleck will be coaching a USC or Washington in 2020 or 2021
Washington isn’t a step up. If Fleck goes anywhere it will be a power school with a big history and deep pockets. USC qualifies for that, Washington doesn’t. Minnesota was arguably the top team of the first half of the 1900’s, if Fleck is taken at his word he is going to try to make us a powerhouse again. With no other D1 schools here and the resources/facility to enable that it’s feasible.

An Outback Bowl win over #12 Auburn is still a great season at 11-2. Hopefully the Bearcats can beat Boston College tomorrow and get their 11th win too.
Pretty awesome finish to the best year for the Gophers in my lifetime. Although the score was only a 7 point win, we thoroughly dominated a team that beat Alabama, and have LSU a very close game.

Where did you get the bookcases you use for your boxed Super NES games?
These are the Atlantic Oskar 1080 shelves. I just search online for the best deal, usually around $110-120.
How many of you moved far away from your hometown?

I grew up in a small town in Minnesota and now live about 45 minutes south, in the suburbs. Great jobs, nice schools and tons of things to see and do close by but I would never want to live any further from my family. Being less than an hour away means I can easily stop in to my parents and visit every week if I’d like, which is great as they get older.
