It was originally for work but now she uses it as her personal. She has a newer machine for work. This one is for personal use and she was traveling with it for vacations (yea seems impractical given its weight). I don’t think she wants to use it with a dock or monitor as she keeps it on her coffee table and was bringing with her on vacation trips.

How do external cards connect? Via usb??

What does she actually do with the laptop? Does she game? Or is it just general use like internet browsing, Netflix streaming?

  2. Sorry, I can’t help with your movies but I’ve battled something similar since childhood. I remember watching a cartoon movie on HBO in the 80’s, about some animals that go on a journey. 30 years later and I still can’t figure out what it was, but am holding out hope that the VHS (with a very rough recording of this) is still in the attic of my parents house.

I gave it a 7 - overall it was good and benefited from a great supporting cast.  Jason Patric and Keifer Sutherland just didn't quite seem to gel in their roles - their performances weren't bad but seemed somewhat out of place in the movie.

It also had to face (and try to overcome) the inevitable comparison to Near Dark released in the same year - pretty hard to compete with Henricksen, Paxton and Goldstein's chemistry bouncing up from their appearance in Aliens.

Yep, it’s a good movie but Near Dark is better.

And damn you and your reasonable list requirements!

Sounds like a pity thing to make you stop playing a bad song!

Relatively speaking.  Compared to drunk 5 nights a week, eating Campbells chunky on rice, driving a beater, 20 something me?  Yeah.  Shit together 😉

It’s definitely an interesting thing to think about. As a 41 year old that just had my first kid, I look around at some of my buddies that started their families young, and have their kids graduating high school, I’m a little envious of their freedom to travel and do whatever the hell they want with far more resources than I had when I was doing that in my 20’s. It is nice not struggling with things while taking care of a child though, which I would’ve been had I had children young.

  6. Ok, I like stats and wanted confirmation that I drafted the best cast. It’s hard to find rankings that go deeper than 10-20 and include all of our picks, but I found Paste and Rolling Stone had rankings which included everyone. Below are the results which are average draft result. Note RS must really hate Norm MacDonald as they almost rated him last (139) which clearly threw Gtypes average off (if he was rated same as paste the avg was 25).

  7. I definitely get this. I’m 41 and was always considered the guy from my large group that everyone thought would stay unmarried without kids his entire life, as I’m a wild, traveling man that has dated a ton.

I myself was unsure of what I wanted, but eventually found a great gal and got married a couple weeks before I turned 40 and we just had our first kid 7 weeks ago. It is so different, and difficult at times but so worth it for me. It’s tough cutting back on some of the things that I love to do, but I’m starting to find a nice balance where I don’t feel like I’m lacking those things, but I’m still present enough for my family. I definitely felt people trying to pressure me about the “ideal” life of a wife and a kids while I was running around, but in general I don’t give a crap about societal norms or what people think about my choices.
