Big fan of the series, although I haven't had a chance to pick up 4 yet. They improved dramatically in each sequel, so 3 is definitely the best game (at least before 4). However, 1 and 2 are also super fun and I recommend them. I'd start at the beginning and play through in order - unless you don't want to spend that much time, in which case I'd start with the incredible Pikmin 3. Also, I recommend Pikmin 3 on Wii U if you can since the Gamepad allows for superior control and situational awareness compared to a Switch.
You are going to love 4

I love high quality tile work. I have A soft spot for the trowel trades.
However, These are boring ass construction grade 2x2 (cm? Inches?) tiles. Factory made, probably mat-set
Bro, have you heard of saltillo? Yohen? Grespania?
we talking 3/16” sanded groutlines? Kerdiboard? I prefer a 1/4” square notch for anything netted or >4”x4”

I love seeing quality discussion on this site.

Nice to see portnoyd was a cuddly ray of sunshine back then, too.
Ive never seen someone whose identity and self-worth is so closely related to a collectibles market value my life.

Do whatever makes you feel good but don’t surprised if you run into negative repercussions.

Agreed. Also the majority of the fakes are from that POS company PCE Works.
@T-Pac if you’re buying a Super CD game first double check it hasn’t got a fake made by them. Then try and search Google for the differences. It doesn’t help that the majority of their fakes are SHMUPs. Always get photos of the inner ring CD number on Super CD games, that’s a good start.
The most widely faked are rondo, sapphire, cotton but there are plenty more

I've only recently started collecting PC Engine games, but I have no clue how to spot fakes (outside of obvious tells). Since the system is more niche and there isn't much online documentation about authenticating games, I've just been trying to stick with reputable sellers and looking for signs of genuine wear-and-tear on the HuCards.
So far, that's seems to be going well. And it helps that the cascade of reproduction cartridges hasn't reached far beyond the more popular NES, SNES, Genesis, GameBoy, etc.

Hu cards are super difficult to fake. Its why hu repros have the big old rom chips on them.
in my 15+ years collecting ive only seen Super CD games faked.

Is there a definitive SOQ variant list? Even better if it has minor changes like codes, or (tm)

Slightly different ink recipe at another printing plant?

Never once. But I also pass on too good to be true or people that dont describe the item enough. Pretty easy to tell nowadays
