How much would one of these go for?

    Thank you

I bought two of these for $75 each a few years ago from a game store who is a big reseller. I feel he cut me a deal. He later sold others he had for $125-150 each. So I feel the range per rack if its in good shape (no busted plexi, graphics present, locks there (with key a big bonus) Hopefully they are unlocked and no bad rust. $75-250 each with that high end representing brand new ones which I have seen some of those come to market in the past couple years if my memory serves me right.

  2. I prefer CRTs. And have found a modded wii via component has been my new go to. I have OG Hardware in other places on PVMs and other CRTs but I like sitting down in the evening and freely switching between systems without getting off my ass. lol.

Here is a recent new gaming corner I put together yesterday. CRT FTW! 😀

Ah yeah, I didn't account for the grade. But still, not sure I would have made that trade, if the 160 thousand value on that baseball card is accurate...

I think I would have taken the card tbh, but who knows where we'll be a few years out?!

I think the 8.0 gray is the highest known. Not real sure but the highest grade in a gray will always command a hella premium. Just like comics and coins. condition and rarity etc push the values for those wanting to aquire. IMO

Mine isn't graded right now, but it's the one with the piece of plastic missing on the bottom. I'm guessing it would grade at a 4 or 5. The label is pretty nice. It's definitely better than #240 (the pimpled cart) that graded at a 3.

Gotcha. Yeah it really doesn’t need to be graded unless you plan on selling it IMO. but its also cool to have graded as a collector and wanting to own it forever. Its a tough pill to swallow but this cart has been on the rise for awhile and the recent folks now in the market have helped push it to higher levels. People have to put it into perspective. Serious comic/coin/card collectors have the money to obtain the “key” title in this hobby and many want to get them sooner than later. There is simply this market that exists and that the other 99% of game collectors will simply just have to spectate from the sidelines, booing and heckling in most cases. Me, it is what it is and I enjoy watching it unfold.

Is this true? Does that make this seemingly ridiculous trade seem worth it, because with the limited information I am aware of this trade looks like a GIANT leap in the value of the NWC grey.

    What am I missing here?

One thing also is the 8.0 grade on the cart. That is phenomenal for a gray. You aren’t missing anything. This is just how things are going.

It is the main store I frequented growing up. One memory I still recall is picking up my Zelda OOT preorder for N64. Earlier era I did not buy alot of games and parents did not buy me alot of games. mom and pop local video store we rented alot of games. I was a big rental kid.

  7. Had a nice dinner at home. Just put some coffee on. Made it strong. Heading outside to shoot off some mortars I saved from the 4th. Hopefully make it to 11PM to watch the ball drop with the east coast. Happy New Year VGS it has been an interesting year. To the future!

Here’s all of my gaming Christmas goodies.

The Art of Atari book blew me away. I can’t recommend it enough. There’s a lot of general history in there as well and some cool pictures of various hardware.

My Master’s thesis was over pollinators/native bees, so someone was being a comedian with the Bee Simulator gift. 😂 I’m genuinely excited to try that one out.

That book is great. Got to see and meet Tim when he did a panel at MGC in 2017.
