    He had an open opportunity to work with us more, or even let us make an offer for the site and we were never contacted. When it went down we warned him what could happen, and it happened exactly like we said it would, but somehow Dain is free of blame in most people’s eyes and it makes no sense. Just because you’re blind to something, doesn’t make you less culpable. 
     

    No matter what some people may think about this subject, what doner wrote is 100% true. The one thing he didn’t mention that you all should know is that not only did they run the site (for at least the last 5-6 years) and deal with everything, they did it for FREE!
    Big shout out to all you guys especially @B.A. I know you tried your absolute hardest to keep NA in the communities hands .

    Good thing you’re not further up north. My cousin has a summer home near windham and right now it’s -4 and feels like -25 🥶

    Siyah Beyaz wast the Turkish guy. Pretty sure half of what he posted was lost in Google translation, but I think he'd be annoying in any language.

    I don't think anyone (on NA at least) ever took him seriously, but he was a holy terror with the thread spamming on NA.

    I still have that version of transformers sealed and I think the Mario remix I have is numbered on the inside top flap. He did a fantastic job on that box art. If anyone wants to try and find him besides the eBay route his name is John Miller . I’d love to see him on here with all of us

    Nice! Yeah I hear ya man, that’s why I never did re-releases on my black box games. I didn’t want the whole black box crew to come after me with pitchforks and torches 😂

    I got it and even then I could tell it was a reseal.  The seal was wrong and there was shelfware on the box.  I opened it and proved the contents were damaged and the seller took it back.  Even back then people were trying to shill people.

    The thing is, now with the way things are, the item was in really great shape other than the shelfware and it was 100% complete.  It would have been worth keeping.  Alas, I was gun-shy after that and didn't get into collecting until 2019, nearly 20 years later.

    I was told back in 2003 by a GameStop employee that I was late to the collecting party lol. I wish I could see that guy now and say how late does it seem now 😂. Wish I started in 98-99 though.

    Maybe his mega man 9 or 10 that he did cib(wasn’t actually a game to play though)? He did great custom box art and in the last month of NA he had been working on the boxes for that Deadpool hack of ninja gaiden. I still don’t know if it ever got finished cib.
