I saw that on the news this morning. They made the reporter’s voice say something like “I’ve been in a car accident and I need money right away.” The reporter said it sounded real. I didn’t think so. The speaking cadence was very unnatural. Actually it sounded just like a cheap commercial for life insurance or something. That skepticism I mentioned earlier is already insufficient.

It may sound unnatural to you, but when people panic and fear starts to set it, it may be very convincing. The fact they can even try to replicate your voice off a few words is enough for me to continue letting calls go to voicemail unless it's a saved contact. I never all unknown numbers back. If it's urgent, they'll leave a voicemail with my generic voicemail greeting.

My mom and dad were both scammed. Luckily we were able to get back the funds on one, but the funds were lost on the other. I spoke with my mom and basically came up with system for her to verify if any future "emergency" so it doesn't happen again.

It's so sad the effort people go through to scam others. They need to take all that time and effort and do something productive.

As someone who does not care about sports figures at all, I'd personally prefer a copy of this game sans autograph, if I were going full set. Could you imagine if the game suddenly got rare, so that the easiest way to get a loose clean copy would be to crack a wata and scrub the name graffiti?

Fyi, he's more than just a sports figure.

@RHwhen I first read the question, I thought the same thing. It's sad when you think about it.

It drives me crazy when people use GPS when traveling in areas they should be familiar with, and I know a lot of people like this

It's all about being aware of accidents and congestion. It's the same reason radio stations have traffic reports every morning. You want to find out what routes to take to avoid being stuck in a traffic because people are rubber necking due to a minor accident. I always use Waze and file reports as I drive as there may be objects on the road, stopped cars and so on.

Video games too? Seems like such an easy sale item. To be honest, idk what people to to BB for. I only ever shop online with them.

Convenience. Want to look at a computer/appliance in person? BB. Want to pick up a new TV locally? BB. Price match? BB. Last second hurricane supplies like batteries? BB.

It also depends on where you live. There's probably 5 BB's within 10 miles around here.

possibly, there are close to 700 loose carts and I’m not sure I want/have time to take pictures of everything to sell online. I’m planning on getting a table at some shows next year and selling the loose carts at those shows.

If you decide to split up these games or sell cart only, I may be interested in some.

The missed tackles and penalties on defense are a real problem. I can see not wanting to get the starters injured in preseason games, but sitting them has to have something to do with these slow starts every year.

It feels like teams don't get back  on track until week 3 now. Weeks 1 and 2 are the preseason for those rested.

I dunno man Bears have been better without him hopefully he doesn’t cancer up the culture the Dolphins have right now

Look, here's three reasons on why it's not a bad move.

    A. It was basically a swap of late picks for a larger WR that the team needs.

    2. Plenty of players have been connecting with wanting to come to the Dolphins, I doubt Claypool would screw it up

    D. The Dolphins are trying to make moves to win and this isn't even Claypool being a lead receiver, he should be a WR3 which is low pressure and he can ease into learning the playbook.

Ross is showing the desire to spend money and that's always a good thing. I would prefer they get better lineman, but I think the Dolphins have a good team overall. With Tua showing he is more than capable of throwing the ball away quickly and looking much more comfortable in the pocket, as well as absorbing tackles much better than last year, I'm hopeful this is going to be a much better year.

As a side note, it was refreshing to see the White - Chosen TD vs the Broncos. Against PSII, so it wasn't like it was against a nobody. Deep throw for our QB? Check.
