  1. @Rotendoabsolutely. Just gotta make sure you do a couple coats.
  2. @Rotendo3D print would be a good idea. Maybe then you can spray them after with some rubber compound to give it a smooth feel
  3. @Rotendo hi! Not sure if you have already , but have you looked into what is stored in the top storage compartment? A few people have found arms stored in there for whatever reason.
  4. Got a new bulb yesterday. The old bulb above the system had to be original becauase it looked OLD. But good news, it was labeled cool white just as you said, and now the new bulb I got from home depot is looking awesome! Also went ahead and connected that back box. i think we are 100% now!
  5. @anotherRetroGuythank you for the info! Very cool that these pieces will help the kiosk to be closer to 100% complete. On the topic of the bracket bar- I have two as well. But I wonder if there was some kind of demo or dev unit in the original kiosks as well as an actual xbox... I wonder because it turns out that I actually have a kiosk demo disc in my collection that I acquired years ago...but when I go to run it on my system in the kiosk, it doesn't read. I've tried it on two systems, and have gotten the same results. Maybe there is a dev unit that was formatted to read the demo disc's specifically? Speculation here, but it's odd that both my systems can't read the disc. It's not scratched at all This disc is version 3.0, but I've seen all different version types. As for the paperwork, it looks like it's the typical packet that came with any plain old system. Here is another photo for reference. I will look through it in more depth to make sure, and if that's the case I'm sure it's something that can be snagged from ebay for a few bucks. I may even have an extra set if that's the case I may be able to send. One last question- the bulb in the middle above the system. Do you know anything about it, or if a replacement is available? Mine is flickering. I can go the LED route to light that area but I'd prefer to keep things original and just replace the bulb, if it's a common enough bulb. I haven't taken the bulb housing apart from the kiosk yet, I was planning on doing it this week. Just figured I'd ask ya!
  6. I got the key @anotherRetroGuy recommended and it was a perfect match! All of my locks are original and undamaged, which I am very happy about. Whoever got this kiosk originally had everything but the top back storage area unlocked before taking it home. I was excited to see what was hiding in the back storage area. I hoped to find maybe the remote or demo disc.. however it was only that "parts" bag, system paperwork, and some metal fixture pieces. I did need some of these washers so that's cool..and the remote battery cover was there.. but no remote. I ended up using Google Lens to find the remote based on a previous picture posted by @theirontoupee and i cant wait for it to arrive. Thank you all for the help!
  7. @anotherRetroGuy thank you! I am going to connect my two pin wires on either side today. I didn't realize that i can take the inside panel off the bottom inside to make it easier. There are screws missing randomly all over my kiosk. My key comes this week, maybe the screws will be in the top section. Excited to see what is in there.
  8. @anotherRetroGuythat diagram is awesome. You really did everyone a service by completely rewiring yours and getting down to how everything is laid out. So looking at this, I see the 2 pin cable disconnect plugs on either side that my kiosk currently does not have plugged in. For some reason in mine, the top ones are just sitting in the compartment, and the bottom ones are taped to the underside of the bottom baseplate. I assume to connect these I'd have to run them through some kind of passageway, which may be a pain lol. I wonder what they do or if they are needed. Mine seems to function fine without them connected. Last question - how on earth did you get the tubes out of the bottom? Moreso, how did you get the LED pieces out of the tubes? Last night I had one moment where one of the bottom tubes did not power on after I had the kiosk on all day without issue. All wires were connected fine as I could see. I shut it off for 20 minutes, plugged it back in and it was working fine again. Just curious if I ever had to get in there and rewire or replace the LEDs how difficult it would be.
  9. So a little update! I wanted to do something about that jumper cable. Even if it doesn't do anything. I decided today to find some sort of female to female jumper cable I can connect to each of those 2 pins. I went to microcenter and got a small pack of wires that looked like would fit the two pins. I used one of them to make a connection between the two pins. I am so happy I did this! Once I connected it, my tubes no longer pulsed! They are now lit solid green. I suspect this regulates or returns power to the LEDs , and I wonder if anyone who also has pulsing LEDs is missing this piece. Update- also that weird plug we said looked like an appliance plug is actually for the fan on the side. Who knew!
  10. @anotherRetroGuythank you! That would be incredibly helpful. Last night I fixed the two issues I had with some of the wires- one wire was detached from the LED connector that goes onto the LED control board, and then one of the female audio plugs that goes to the second wire to connect to the TV was ripped off. Thankfully I fixed both issues so now everything is fully functional again, apart from the lights pulsing- which I am fine with, as a few other people I know with this kiosk tell me that one or two of their tubes don't light at all lol. Once I confirm everything is wired up correctly compared against your diagram, I'll move it into its final place in my gameroom. Thank you so much for all of your help. Your knowledge has been incredibly Insightful!!
  11. @anotherRetroGuy thanks! ok cool. I can put them aside then. and thank you for your willingness to check your kiosk out tonight! I'm hyped to get to work on the minor fixings i need to get it fully functional and also am going to order the key asap. This is so exciting. I've wanted this kiosk for as long as ive been collecting. So happy my buddy who had it sitting in his garage for a while finally decided to sell me it.
  12. Two more questions! two of my tubes light solid, while two other ones light up in a pulsing pattern. Is there a reason or fix for this? Lastly, how/where do I connect this thin two pin wire that is attached to one of the LED wires, and what goes into the similar looking spot on the LED control board? Photo below: Besides this, i was able to hookup the reset button and have it working thanks to the awesome diagram by @anotherRetroGuy - thanks!!!!!! I also need to order one of those keys. Maybe my demo disc in inside of the top compartment! I have some minor work to do to two of the wires in the setup to get it 100% functional, but i am very excited to own this kiosk!
  13. Hello All! My name is Karl. On instagram i go by @Retrogamingzone I recently got one of these kiosks, and have been in the process of hooking it up! I am so excited to own one of these get get it working 100%. Big thank you to @BirdDogGaming for sending me to this forum. I think it's great that everyone has been so helpful here and am thankful for all the information shared here so far. This thing was so heavy! Thankfully the seller broke it down for me into its two parts already. Also grateful for the two friends who also helped me carry both parts (especially that base!) up a flight of stairs in my house. Here is a picture of it all together. I am especially excited as the seller I got this from had the original CRT as well. I did have a few questions, as it seems as if my kiosk came with parts that I did not see referenced yet in this thread. I know this kiosk was used at various events and display installations over the years, so it could be they got tossed into the compartment randomly, but i just figured Id ask. One item is a weird looking black AC plug, and another is a White RGB controller that I do not have a barrel power plug for: Curious if anyone has come into these in their kiosks?
