I think if the rest of the game is flawless it would get 85 no problem.

Now, chances are there are other small flaws, so I think the likely result is 80+ or lower I agree, but not just because of that side creasing.

    As for wata, probably 8.5?

Im just trying to give the guy the best possible guess. we both know there is likely some scuffing aswell.

Had an experience with what I had a strong feeling was a resealed game.  Bought a Super Mario Bros 3 on ebay and was described as factory sealed.  When I took a good look at it, I saw at the top right corner back there is a small tear on the box, but the it was perfectly sealed top to bottom even showing the H-seam. Also, noticed that the contents seemed really loose that something inside the box was shaking and to me, it was missing something.  So because of those things, I returned it to get my money back.  A few days later, I was checking out the seller's feedback and saw a negative from a buyer saying that the game he bought was resealed...  He then was selling the same Super Mario 3 but under a different ebay user ID, this time the feedback is in private.  I would not trust buying anything from that seller.

Now my question is, how can a re-seal like that be practically perfect?  I couldn't believe it was possible!  Was thinking as long as it has the H or V seam, then you're good...

at the end of the day a plastic seam isnt the guarantee its legit, its part of it. Alot of the tells come from the box. Many factors come into play determining a reseal.

Could you post detailed photos vs a claim of a “perfect H-seam”?

That isn't true. The Latin American games are all -LTN code on the box flap, manual, and cartridge, not USA including these Death and Return of Supermans.

Of course I'm not saying not all Made in Mexico games are all Latin releases. lol

Without even needing to open it and verify, here's what makes it different than any normal Made in Mexico USA version of a SNES game

your second photo would be considere “Made in Japan”, the labelling is correct.

Made in Mexico VS Made in Japan.

  4. Doesn’t seem like anything to be too worried about outside of the normal test your games and open them especially if spending hundred to thousands of dollars.

Legit looking fakes have been discussed since I started collecting in 2010.

I will add that people selling fakes are constantly scheming new ways to try and fool people, so these threads are great reminders to not get complacent on checking over your games!

I remember NA member lojack had a connection for reproduction acrylic shells for that kiosk.

I looked into that, it was the gameboy taller style which I didn’t want. Also the shipping was I think from Australia to Canada and was not cheap

I've seen this bubble up over here, but didn't pay much attention until now.  That was so ballsy.

I recommend getting a heat gun that you can set the temp on if you are going to attempt something like this again.  They aren't that expensive.

who knows maybe i would have failed with the heat gun, the lighter works. but I do mention the heat gun in my original post.
