Even better, he has several threads on this very website chronicling his son's game creations! This game will also be included in an upcoming Evercade release!
How in the heck did I miss this thread? I guess I am not on here as much as I use to be. Thanks for the info!

How did I miss this thread. Very nice. I am in for the Kubo 1&2 CIB. Just bought Kubo 3 from you on Twitter.
Awsome stuff!

I would say this is incorrect. The list in the initial post has a count of 120 variants. There has been 8 new variants that have been brought out over the past 2ish months which I have attached a photo that I personally have on hand. The would bring the total to 128.
However, the initial count of 120 includes 5 entries that I would include in the base set of 506
DuckTales ('DMG' Label)
Q Billion (Black Nintendo Logo)
Rescue of Princess Blobette, The (Error Serial No.)
Space Invaders: The Arcade Game DMG-SP-USA-1
Wario Blast: Featuring Bomberman! Rev-1So my variant count is 123. That Yoshi one is interesting if we decide to count it that would make the count 124. I have the translucent one in my collection. I do see a few of the non-translucent ones listed. This does appear a potential border case in my opinion, mostly because I don't want to look for others. What is also interesting about the Yoshi one is that the cropping is different between the two. I'm not sure if this just happens typically between production runs or not. The variant count is back up to 10 million
I have decided when ever someone shows me something in this thread I did not know about, I will return the favor. Super rare Balloon Kid variant

Been doing a little sleuthing regarding Franklin the Turtle for GBA. Here's mine which I posted in a haul a while back:
PriceCharting history tells me one of these sold right after I posted my haul and there was another, apparently not sealed, that sold a couple years ago. Outside of those two eBay transactions, I haven't found any info about this or other copies out there. Except... I did find an old NA thread (link is dead now but I found it via Google Image Search):
Obviously that link is dead but the photo comes from Photobucket user "Iamyouremom." Was that someone on NA? And does anyone know who might have bought that Franklin the Turtle? Just curious!

Finally found the super rare Franklin’s Great Adventure GBA set. Only the second one I have seen. Now the whole family is togeather!

Wow, I can't believe it. What's the boxdate for it, if any?
All the Black E PC games have about the same box date codes:
SML - 991117
SML2 - 991117
DKL - 991119
DKL2 - 991119 -

the -1 someone is selling a 4 box set. the carts did not god with the dates as i understood them then.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/143901467855
the carts are showing 89-90 but boxes are outside of that date run so i was just needing to know how the date code on the boxes were done...
how are you on the zelda cib sets?
That set looks like a mix. Manuals don’t match either. I only have 2 Zelda CIB. Regular and PC. Tons of print runs for that game also.

There were more than 20 reprints of SML for the GB and 8 box variants.
The first 3 had no date codes (Green pics Warranty info only, Green pics with warranty/for sale and use, normal pics with same warranty/for sale and use as 2nd green pics box) No way to tell how many print runs for each.
Then the 4th box change added for sale in Mexico and had a date code (at least 2 printings with this box).
5th change is TM to (R) box and was -1 ( at least 4 prints of this box).
6th change is warranty info change and was -2 box (at least 3 print runs)
7th is the players choice change -3 box. (At least 3 print runs of the -5 manual, 1 of the -6 manual and 4 runs of the -7 manual).
The 8th and last is the super rare black E -4 release, only 1 print run. So after the first 3 variants there are tons of print runs of each change. Over 18 million copies of SML were sold. That is a lot of print runs, LOL -

here is more info for the case of the -2 and the E variant boxes(possibly the pixelated/Solid E carts). we know that the E over took the KA in late 98 so the carts may not match the boxes but it is something to look and think about them. (info had to be given way in advance for the catalog to be ready before Christmas).
@RpgCollector, can you confirm the E boxes below. i have not looked at e::y yet. will look later today.
Ad matches the released boxes:

That’s really strange because I have a black & white manual for the game, but I would have assumed it came with the Majesco release... Do you think the Redwood City release got a black & white manual?
I am wrong. The Majesco release came with the black and white manual. Tons of examples on eBay. What happened to my manual? I know I opened it new. I had 15 copies of this game at one time trying to get a minty box of each version, so I think I got mixed up. Sold them with rebuilt systems years ago.

You also had SVG Distribution re-release games. They only changed the boxes/manuals. Nothing else. Most of the Absolute GB games were re-released by them.
