  1. They will remove the console and put a stone of the same weight inside, then they will grade it with a random number from 8 to 10 using a dice with three sides.

More seriously, how can someone grade a console? Once they open the box, there will be a mark, so it won't be new anymore. And if they don't open the box, they will never know. And do they disassemble a console to find any traces of use and dirt on the inside of switches and buttons? Do they accept fingermarks on the paper materials? Yellowing on the styrofoam? So many important questions today.

  2. this is my opinion, feel free to ignore it

i don't give an ass butt (as in, the bottom part of a donkey) about grading, i wouldn't pay a dollar more for a game entombed in a transparent plastic brick, and i think that if you are willing to pay for this service, you deserve the risk of getting scammed by people looking for quick riches

also, this whole thing drives prices up while providing fake security so it's a lose-lose for me

i could send mismatched games and they wouldn't know, i could send regional variants and they wouldn't even know about them

  3. It's a commercial release for sure, since there's a barcode at the back of the outer box. It was definitely for Southeast Asia only. Looks like very few copies were made.

I was really hoping the keyring would be of black metal. I laughed when turned out to be soft rubber. I guess they didn't want dead kids on their conscience.

  4. Any Ninja Gaiden or Xbox collectors?

I don't think this was ever released in Japan, US or Europe, and Google doesn't even know about it.

Comes with the game, a postcard book and a rubber keyring.

Had a Toys"R"Us sticker on it, which I removed already. Not the kind of game you'd want sold at Toys"R"US to your 6 year old kiddo, lol.

  5. good luck getting that info! this would need its own mini-database in order to cross-check properly. imagine how many boxed and loose copies now come with cables and power cords that aren't the ones that came with that particular copy originally. especially the power cord since it doesn't have a playstation/sony brand on it.

i think it needs to be worked model by model and region by region

  6. Oh yes. The cop part of the game is made of 3 challenges:

    - Crashing 1 tough enemy that tries to run away and does stuff to screw you up. The car has a lifebar on top of it so you know if you're doing it right.

    - Crashing a party of 4/5 racing cars. Same as above, but the cars are less aggressive and their lifebar drains faster.

    - Time attacks with a catch, that is, every time you touch the sides of the road or traffic, you get a penalty.

The racer part lets you crash enemies like in Burnot, but there's no lifebar and it's not really useful to be frank. Also, some challenges seem to disable this option, as I found that cars won't crash no matter how hard you hit them.

Crashing cars fills your boost, like drafting and drifting, so yeah they could have called the game Burnout: Hot Pursuit. The PS2 Hot Pursuit 2 had a lot more character and craziness to it. The PS3 version tries to make it look more serious and realistic, and I think it doesn't work well. Sure, cars look and sound nice, but that's about the only thing that stands out.

Edit: also, it seems that the switch "remaster" is a joke.
