I was thinking of picking this up when it was being released, but pass as I'd probably never play it. It appears some of these games have an online leaderboard feature. Cool pick up at a solid price!

Yeah, I had a preorder but cancelled it for the same reason. But since release there have been some neat games made, and at this price, I'm in.

My SS was @Fleck586 and they got me some pretty sweet stuff!  Both SNES games I needed and are in fantastic shape (not to mention being great games)! I've never played the GC Sonic games, but have been collecting a bit of GC so am pumped to try them out. Also (for some reason) I'm getting a bit into 3do, so thanks so much for this rad looking game! 😄

Not sure who they are but my Secret Santa went above and beyond. They got a Withered Bonnie for my kid (turns out it's his favorite character and he screamed!) a little transforming TV robot guy,  dreamcast ornament. A mcnugget tetris. Grimace's birthday Gameboy color homebrew (in grimace shake purple!) magic sword for snes and 3 sealed gamepack card packs.

Completely blown away. Thank you secret Santa! Thank you so much!

I'm super happy you (and your kid) enjoyed everything!

You asked for some weird, makes you go hmm kinda stuff, so I tried to capture that well. The little robot guy is a Famicom cartridge 😄

I picked Magic Sword because I love the arcade game, and the cart was hopefully uncommon enough that you didn't already have it.

Are you suggesting that there are people who make after-market games as their day jobs and primary source of income?  This sounds highly dubious to me; I think the reason that the term "homebrew" has been a catch-all for so long is exactly because every NES game made in the last two decades has been a "side-job," whether it's for love of the console or an attempt at making a little bit of cash (or both).  If there's a single example of someone who gains their primary income through making NES games (or any older console's games) in 2023, I would absolutely love to know who he is and hear his story first-hand...

I'm pretty sure there are a few - and they don't have to be "he"s 🙂

If it is number, it is the LE. There are 100 LEs. Maybe a dozen or so of the others. @neodolphino might know exactly.

The first 20 copies of the LEs had the option to add custom text to the title screen I believe. Not all took that option. That is why I took 21.  Lowest non-custom game.

I don't recall exactly, but I feel like I remember about 125ish or so total. I think he did a small release on eBay first - something like 10-15? Then we convinced him to do the rest on NA with the first 20 having custom message (I originally was in line for one of those, but another member really wanted the custom message for his daughter - he relatively recently sold that one). I ended up with a non-custom one - don't recall the number of hand.

  7. I'm not sure who my secret Santa is yet, and I haven't had a chance to attempt to decipher this code, but thank you so much! I haven't heard of Sol Feace, but clips online look sick!

The Machine and Pocky & Rocky were two games I've had my on for a while, and I'm super excited for them. Also, I love the Cow Pies - I asked for a local/regional candy and this certainly fits! 😄

It is Christmas on the east coast. Thank you to my Secret Santa. Love the gifts! As soon as I saw that I received Castlevania III for the Famicom I had to pop that one in and listen to the FM synthesis goodness.

    You're very welcome!

Other than the Castlevania, I tried to get you neat things you maybe hadn't considered from the general areas you were interested in (TG-16, FDS).

    Merry VGS Christmas! 🙂

I got rid of most things, I still might have some ram lying around, but dad got rid of the pentium 2 or 3 and the other went to @neodolphino, I assume he got it running, but never really heard or I forgot, all he had to do was add a gpu and some other stuff I think, not sure....

Oh... I still have it... just need to get around to it XD

Got a little dinged in the shipment, but overall arrived in good shape.
