  1. At the risk of once again awakening the angry villagers. Label heading in the right direction? Ignore the 1/2pts and actual grades, working draft still.
  2. True story. Right now despite our confidence we just don’t want to have figure out what to do with thousands of unused cases.
  3. Thanks. Originally the new website was supposed to be live about the time Indiegogo would expire so I didn’t think about.
  4. That’s the kind of comments I’m here for! Thanks we hope so too. We are working on improved labels as a next step toward world domination.
  5. Been asking for feedback from the beginning and nobody's been shy. Seems reasonable to ask people hammering away at how shitty it looks for suggestions on what would be less shitty. But I should have known better, this group not exactly known for the construction part of constructive criticism. It's all good, I knew what I was getting into - especially when opening the discussion back up and I do appreciate the feedback was simply hoping rather than just telling me how much it sucks I'd get suggestions about how to improve it. Have gotten a few. And if there are professional designers willing to offer their services I'm happy to pay them for those professional services.
  6. Working on it. Anyone have any sketches and or ideas they’d like to suggest we’d love to see it.
  7. This is spot on. They claim they don’t have enough data to fairly release the pop report yet are so insanely busy they can’t keep up. Pop reports will hurt their business. Period and that’s why they aren’t releasing them. They need a competitor. Competition makes everyone better. Direct result of lack of competition in our opinion which is why we feel strongly a legit new service has plenty of room in the market. Time will tell. Maybe we’ll force VGA and Wata to shape up and they’ll crush us when they fix their issues.
  8. As soon as possible is the plan. Publishing data too soon can be misleading but we would rather be early with an explanation of data at the size we have when we release it than to hold it way too long for unknown reasons with sketchy explanations for the ongoing delay. PSA has enjoyed a lot of success with the most boring label in history. I think ours is at least better than theirs.
  9. Fair. The game box should be the hero with the big bold grade behind a colorful star as the one and only sidekick.
  10. Can you clarify what you’d like to see in more detail? Yes. Case will be sealed pretty tightly and tough to open without it being obvious. Additionally a small custom printed security sticker will go over the seal at the top, impossible to open the case without clear evidence of tampering with the seal. What’s wrong with Word? it is a bit boring but part of our effort is to keep the focus on the game not the label.
  11. Fair points, part of it is the math is the math. If it comes out to a half it comes out that way, do we round up or down? We use a scoring system not an arbitrary number we decided fits. And in the 90s it might matter. Back and forth on that. Limited space. We were using full codes initially, will work on getting back to it. good feedback. Thanks.
  12. 60% box 20% cart 20% manual more specifically a point system: 120 box, 40 cart, 40 manual. 200 total points divided by 2 for 100 point scale grade. When video games are bought and sold at scale like cards, yes this was testing so no. Not a promo just sharing some updates as we continue to progress. I received $7. But No. We changed our initial startup plan to adjust to less funding and I invested more of my money than would have been necessary with help from Indiegogo. It didn’t happen we adjusted and are moving forward. Nearly all levels of the Indiegogo campaign provided value for the contribution so not at all a money grab as stated the new site is launching soon and I believe I have covered qualifications to a level most will be happy with. In the end the quality and consistency of our work is absolutely the most important factor. Fortunately others disagree. And in one sentence saying you don’t wish ill will then calling this genuine (better than fake I guess) snake oil doesn’t seem to jive.
  13. I'm guessing that most of you thought I went back into a hole and cried. Perhaps some thought I was hard at work on moving forward. It's both. Just to keep you updated (at the risk of awakening the fury of "input") we are looking at launching the real website in just a few weeks and should be taking orders by the end of June (yes, 2021)!!! And we've been finalizing some testing with our finally ready production cases. And look for a video coming soon highlighting our industry leading UV protection. In all seriousness I do appreciate the feedback I received a few months back when I originally posted - your input has had an impact on our final product/service. So thank you. Most of you
  14. Agree 100% It's why we weight our box score higher than the 2 pieces you'll never see in a graded CIB game. Why the front of the box starts with more points on our scorecard than that back. There will always be an element of subjectivity to grading, no question. An equivalent in the world of sports cards is a pinhole. Otherwise near perfect card, great color sharp corners with a single pinhole (common for 50s cards) is a grade killer - as it should be, holes are bad.
  15. Excellent point and we have discussed that internally quite a bit. The smaller version of that is that you can lose more points than any given category is worth because of the fact that significant damage in any one area detracts from overall. But for extreme cases we will spell out what we've been referring to as exceptions and that covers your example where there is excessive damage. It's not yet reflected on the scorecard because it is likely an exception not something that will happen frequently but we will detail this possibility on the full website once we launch that points out grades are subject to larger deductions based on extreme damage.
  16. It appears @OptOut’s account has been hacked! Please contact support. Seriously, thank you. If I can win you over maybe there is a chance! Now who wants to 1up and go $8?
  17. We have talked about that. Including a single slab that holds all 3 in 1 case so you can see all parts together. Case dev is very expensive and time consuming which makes it tough but I do like that idea and think 1 slab showing all 3 would be cool.
  18. I like what AdamW suggests especially when talking about what can no longer be seen once in a case. And we’ve always planned on including as much of this info as possible on the label in limited space. And to JVOSS point as a business everything we do must factor the impact on staying efficient. We also view our role as identifying what IS there not as much what isn’t there. Yes “matching” box, cart, manual is at the core and we’ve discussed handling IMP, MMP, etc. we understand there is much more to consider. But as is evident throughout the internet determining every insert with every game is nearly impossible. Certainly Zelda maps and letters from Mike Tyson are more important than the Nintendo Power subscription card but if we tell you everything inside then you as the collector/buyer of a VGG graded game have that knowledge and can decide what’s important to you or that impacts the price you are willing to pay. All that said.......Pokémon. Ugh Pokémon. Pokémon games are their own beast with an entirely new set of craziness of codes and misprints and variations.
  19. Likely true but I feel like that’s where most games will live with any grader, any system because it’s where games are...sportscards too. It’s why over 90 is so valuable, it’s really hard to get graded in that range as it should be. The 10-Yard Fight and Mach Rider boxes look really good at a glance, it’s not until they examined under bright light with a magnifying glass that some imperfections are shown. In our testing I have been concerned about so many in that range, actually even a tighter one but then looking at POP reports of sportscards it’s not unusual, people will tend to only send high quality for grading and rarely send in crap cards unless they are the elite prewar card era even still the curves tend to be similar with that mid to upper mid are the majority of grades.
