I guess mostly because it's an incredibly cool name (and also the game isn't great, so that's 0 of 2 conditions :P)

I am saddened by this post! 😉

I enjoy it, but perhaps that is only due to the quirkiness of it!  😄

  2. Agree with arch_8ngel above me.  I voted for early solid state.  Extremely iconic and nostalgic for me.

Elvira and the Party Monsters, Taxi, Cyclone...PIN BOT!  Man, love those mid-to-late 80s games.  Never saw them in an arcade, but would play them at bars when I would tag along with mom or dad...back when kids could go into bars and nothing was thought of it!  Smell of cheap, American, yellow beer...grease from the bar kitchen burners...crusty old men muttering as they walk by you and the pin...man!  Loved it!

I have Party Animal from 1987 in basement arcade.  Hoping to add one or two more pins from the 80s down the line.

  3. Hi guys!  Just joined the club.  I currently have an Outrun, Street Fighter II: World Warrior (i.e. plain old SFII), World Series: The Season, Atari Football, Donkey Kong Jr., a Neo Geo MVS 1-slot conversion, and a Pac-Man Arcade Party cocktail table that Namco of America made back in 2010.  I also have a pin in Bally Midway's Party Animal!

DK Jr and Atari Football are my newest acquisitions.  That stimulus check helped out with those two!  😁

    MaxLords, awesome pics!

Feel free to let them know about us; I don't see us as competing, so I don't think we'd really be like, stealing their users or anything.

TBH I'd love to see us working with other communities in the future. I don't see why we couldn't all come together and be friendly.

    You got it!

This was kinda painful to read:

"The International Arcade Museum® (IAM) and Killer List of Videogames® at Museum of the Game® is the..."

That said, it's SO niche and the odds of it coming up are slim, but... maybe that's kinda what these are good for. I learned a little today, maybe someone else will in the future. I'll get it added, thanks.

It is actually a pretty big community over there, believe it or not!  As I mentioned in my introduction post yesterday, I was away from the old NA site and just came back yesterday to this site because KLOV and the arcade collecting hobby sucked me in for a few years.

With this site growing, and a ton of Nintendo arcade fans over there, I can see some of them migrating over here eventually to talk about about Nintendo’s arcade offerings.  🙂

  6. I still haven’t gotten into the Paper Mario series, but have this game on my Amazon Want List.

I have a copy of Thousand Year Door that has been collecting dust for 15 years.  Is that considered one of the better Paper Marios?

Jonah Williams was the 11th overall draft pick last year, but he's basically a rookie after missing all of last season with an injury. I think they would be better off trying to address the o-line through free agency with proven players since they have tried to address the issue through the draft, but they keep missing on their picks.

Yeah, you are probably right about that.  Either way, it needs to be addressed if Burrow is going to live up to the hype.

As an aside, I hope the Reds keep it up this week.  The bats are picking up a bit the last few games.

  8. I also was able to snag these yesterday after 2.5 hours of trying to get through the process.  Claimed the code at 3 pm the eastern, saw it was a cluster F, and came back to my computer at 5:30 and got through the ordering process within 5 minutes or so.  But yes, these should have been pre-order bonuses instead of this crap shoot.

Supposedly, there is a pin set #2 coming out as well too.  Probably more shenanigans with that set as well.
