I mean as far as legislation goes the Republicans almost only successful legislation was the tax cut for the wealthy.
I mean it's not all legislation but 3 Supreme Court picks and striking down national abortion rights and affirmative action, Masterpiece Cakeshop, reduced EPA oversight of fossil fuels, maintaining the gun control status quo of thoughts and prayers, etc. It might not be popular but conservatives certainly are effective at achieving their goals.
What are the Biden admin's biggest wins? An infrastructure bill, Covid economic soft landing, and ending the occupation of Afghanistan? While great, that sure doesn't feel like some win for the left, it just feels like, you know, stuff that everyone should agree is good? And so we ratchet on.

Right now at about 2200 physical and 1700 digital games.
I help run a local convention with a large videogame room though so it's not all stuff I bought for me.
Benstylus? What's up? Branching out from the ol' UGTZ?

SOTN is a foundational game! We wouldn't be forced to deal with the term """Metroidvania""" without it, and you're not going to tell me anyone would ever say that if only Simon's Quest existed. 10/10 by default.

Zoo Keeper rules. I've had this Taito multicade thing in my office for the longest time and literally the only thing I ever play on it is Zoo Keeper.

"Meh. There's plenty of better alternatives to this" sounds very right. AC2 alone made the original feel boring and repetitive, let alone all the pirate shanty singing, Greek naval warfare simulation stuff the series got later on. 4/10

I've never actually played StarCraft at all
I work with a middle-aged Korean woman who doesn't play video games, but interjected when me and a buddy were talking about competitive SC2. We said "Wait I thought you don't play video games" and she said "Well Starcraft, everyone plays Starcraft".

Not sure what to do next. I still have Blaster Master...
Is Low G Man a 9 because it has to be beaten 3 times?
If it's 8 or so hours before your bedtime, that's barely enough time to squeeze in a run of Blaster Master. Today's the day!

Hyper Demon is a modern big-budget game that's 100% a score leaderboard. If it isn't big budget, how did they afford all those demons?

Ice Ice Baby got its own thread, so you know off the bat these are B-listers.

Not sure if this was posted somewhere but it's not often we get numbers beyond "uhhhh its rare, so 10,000". It's cool to have a barometer of real production numbers compared to how rare something "feels".
Sonic Heroes Super Monkey Ball Duo Pack - 7500
Super Monkey Ball 2-Pack - 14819
Sonic Adventure 2-pack - 10800
Pure Evil 2-pack - 12600- 3

You get to live. Everyone else...
I was going to make a comment that Batman wouldn't kill people, but I guess this is the game where he has a gun.

AD&D Pool of Radiance. This game seems really cool. I thought I was getting sick of old RPGs, but it turns out Might and Magic can just be exhausting since it takes a really long time in between discovering new things.
After you've committed mass murder or killed the boss on a particular map, random encounters stop and you can explore mostly at leisure (which both makes sense and seems like oddly high quality of life for a game from 1988). The slaughter is frequently broken up by little story encounters in certain rooms and even if they're 10 seconds long they're appreciated.

I think it's alright. A lot of the platforming is slow-ish and can be precise to the point of being finnicky (at least if you want to avoid hits). The wall jump mechanic and mood are pretty rad. I think I'd like it more if it went more into the platforming and had fewer annoying enemies. Joker is a pretty cool boss too. 6/10

Donkey Kong Jr Math I think they're saying Japanese like math, lol.
