I posted this last night for discussion... since that was 16 hours ago, I'm going to bump it before I ignore it.  Certainly some homebrewer around here is interested in it/wants to discuss what this means?

I do wonder what will come from it.  If people will study it for homebrewing themselves, others will use the engine to make SFX games, or maybe someone will make an improved version of SNES Doom.  All of those sound great to me.  Hopefully it is more than porting SNES Doom to a water cooler or something.

Just thumbing through it really feels like this was rewritten from scratch.

 

I don't know what I'm looking at but dangit, I think this is incomplete.  Check out the music file.  Looks like it references loading binaries from files/folders, and they aren't in the source.  Maybe this is just straight-code but none of the assets?
