RH 4,224 Member ·
Well, while browsing Amazon today, I found this to be interesting and the first I'd heard of it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01G62GWS4/ref=ods_gw_ha_h4_d_zr_miss_010120?pf_rd_p=986ded2f-480c-4ead-925a-08c1ccefb84e&pf_rd_r=XYQWSQGWSZTXRR5JF1KS Apparently, Amazon is making an Alexa-connected set of eye glasses. IMHO,this is very much similar to Google's attempt at Google Glass, where they had an eye-piece with an embedded display and camera... except this is less invasive. Sure, there's the ever present microphone but it doesn't have camera. I am a privacy advocate, so these aren't for me, but I'm curious what you guys think about these, or if you've heard of them before. I wouldn't mind something like this if it was just connected directly to my smartphone, but to be connected to Alexa and, honestly, I don't know if we can really trust if Amazon is listening to you or not all of the time when you cut off the mic, it's a hard pass for me. It's still neat to see the innovation though.
