Interestingly he was one of the ones who had to break it to Big Bird in this iconic scene that when people like his best pal Mr Hooper die, they don't come back   (go to 5:40 if you want to cut to the chase; Bob is the one wearing blue)

My wife told me at breakfast.  I was a tad sadder than I expected.  Who (at least in the US) didn’t grow up with Sesame Street.
