Tabonga | 2,432 Posted April 20, 2022 Share Posted April 20, 2022 (edited) Those generally mercurial creatures known as genies (and their various kindred spirits (as it were) such as djinn and jinn) occasionally venture forth in movies (usually fantasy or horror) from the odd bottle or lamp. Less often they show up on tv such as the old sit com "I Dream of Jeannie". This is a clip from a great 1940 movie ("The Thief of Bagdad") wherein Sabu (a famous child actor from India) bamboozles a genie (played by Rex Ingram - a wonderful character actor who portrayed a genie in more than one fantasy movie): This clip is a somewhat more whimsical genie from the 1958 movie "The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad" - the genie is played by Richard Eyer who was a fifties child actor who appeared in a slew of movies.
