Good. We need more submissions.
An old soul in a young body.
Also, wise, but impish.
Kind, yet firm.
A dash of slovenly behavior, a hint of class, and a healthy dose of fun-loving cheer.
Like a hotdog wrapped in a croissant with a dollop of creme fraiche.
Great answer!
Anybody else? Was hoping for at least a couple serious answers

Yep. I think the fact that it's a fresh start really helps. But this place instantly felt like home, where I havent had that feeling on NA for quite some time

I'm still trucking along with a living-room PC I built a few years back for Steam.
It's an early-gen i5 refurb from Dell that I stuff a 750ti card into (that was the "best" compact profile video card at the time, if you wanted a timestamp on the project!)
Since my TV is only 1080p, that puts a nice upper limit on graphics output anyway.
Sometimes the fan gets a little loud, but it is a surprisingly effective setup and plays anything I am interesting in playing with no issues.
Coupled it with a Steam Controller 2 or 3 years ago.
How are you liking the steam controller? Worth getting?

I know this site is still pretty new, but the community isn't. How would you guys describe the personality of the community and just the vibes in general? The idea here is that the VG Sage represents our whole community, so what does that mean? Is he wise? Humorous? Frugal? Mischeivious? You can use whatever personality traits you want, that you feel describe us as a whole. Or you can think about what you hope this community will become, perhaps think about some things that NA could've improved on and use that as a guide for the traits you'd like to see going forward.
The more responses the better, I am planning on using this input for my entry in the logo design contest. But also I think this is a great way for us to reflect on the community we've all been a part of and helped build. Looking forward to your responses!

Yeah, I agree with everyone else. Piecing stuff together is a pain, just buy exactly what you want from the get go. Get some box protectors while you're at it

I was on the old site for years. Never managed to "earn" any of them.
Seems like most you had to "buy" them by spending a bunch of money on games.
If they come back, I'd like to see some more related to actually taking part in site events (secret santa, competitions, complete every game for x system, werewolf, other fun stuff) or actually contributing articles, blogs, art, and other content for the site/community. I'd be more proud of that, than just showing off how much I spent on Earthbound collectables.I also think this is a great idea. There was a little bit of that on NA, but the focus seemed to be on the collecting. I guess that's partially on us too, if more people submit for an award for collecting rather than participating in things. But yeah, like this idea

I know, and was just giving an example. I am not saying they should be easy to achieve, but I also think too ridiculous can be a thing; especially when it comes to collection type hobbies.
Can we give this guy a Jive Turkey award?

Well, I know you can use a game genie, but it also has tabs that need to be broken and it's not necessarily low profile. Not aware of anything as you describe it. Actually there is an adapter that works the other way around, so you can put an snes cart into a super famicom, made by honeybee so it should be good quality. Dont think they're cheap though.

Man if I had a nickel for every time I tripped over a wonder swan by accident. I'd be broke.
Welcome!

Big fan of the Parodius games on Super Famicom, they're funny, but also well made shooters

Have you considered choosing 49 games and then having a flash cart?
I do feel you could build a collection of 50 or so games and have a ton of stuff to enjoy. The "must haves" will vary from person to person. I grew up with spiderman and xmen arcades revenge, so I'd need that one, but I wouldn't expect anyone else to need it. Like wise, theres lots of popular stuff that just doesn't do much for me. Castlevania 4 for example, just dont care for it. Most people would probably say it's essential. So yeah, if you want to pair down, have a look a what you got and think about it, what have you played recently, what havent you touched in a while? Also, dont forget you can always get something again if you regret selling it. Personally I've gotten rid of a lot of stuff and am perfectly happy with it.
