So are the previous posts anyone made on NA "owned" by GoCollect? What if a user created a guide of some sort on NA and that same user is on this site? Can they copy that data (even manually from Archive.org) to this site without getting sued?

I was known as ryanflucas and also SirConnery for awhile. I'm sure I sold items to many of you previous NA members on eBay, especially if you collected Game Boy items.

I was wondering, does GoCollect "own" all data assets of NA? Meaning if there's articles and guides that were created on that forum that are still accessible, would copying that data here would be a violation of that owned asset? What if a thread that existed over there was started by a user that also made an account here: who "owns" it, the original creator of the thread or GoCollect?
I know that you can access good chunks of the site in Archive.org Wayback. If it's not stepping on anyone's toes/violating ownership rules, are there any articles or guides that need to be ported from there to here?
Content licensing and site ownership. (Avoiding another future acquisition.)

I assumed that, but then I wondered what did GoCollect even buy if they purchased a site, didn't keep the name, and all the data was owned by the individual people that posted it? What's even the point?
You could copy the data/guides (maybe not the complete history) to this site and essentially be NA under new ownership/title. The only reason why I mentioned a user being on both NA and here is that it may open up a grey area if you're copying someone else's data. If you're the author of the data and you own it, there's no violation.
I'm not a lawyer either but it would make sense. Otherwise there would need to be a notice that says "By posting and using this site, we own all data created here". I don't remember seeing that anywhere on NA.
