For many years I have been searching for the Crystalis "Get a Clue" hint book. Someone found me here and sold me their original childhood copy. It's pretty awesome that it had stayed with the original owner all these years, and I'm so happy he was willing to help me complete my Crystalis collection which as far as I know is all the items officially released, along with some random odds and ends. He also included a hand written note, which was very thoughtful and that will remain part of my Crystalis collection as well.

So from left to right the items are: Crystalis NES, Crystalis Get a Clue hint book, SNK 40th Anniversary Limited Edtion, God Slayer Advertisement, Crystalis GameBoy Color, Licensed Crystalis shirt from Fan Gamer with Sword of Crystalis sticker (the second sticker is from the shirt I wear), Jello pudding cups cardboard cutout (which if I remember correctly, JoneBone may have sold it to me in the NA days), God Slayer Famicom.

So needless to say, I am very happy to have my collection finally complete, thank you @Crystalisguy. The game has been my absolute favorite game, since the 90's. I remember renting it, then playing it at my best friends house. My dad eventually found it on clearance at Toys R Us, and brought it home. Through the years I must have played through the game dozens of times, and was a patron of sites like "Tom's Crystalis World" back in the early internet.

Tom's site miraculously is still up (since 1997 on Tripod lol) https://tpb68.tripod.com/tom.html he even replies to emails once every few years 🙂

  2. >>>>All of the Switch games are pending a sale.<<<<

Greetings and welcome to my FS items. All items include the price of shipping. I don't believe I have had previous transactions on VGS in the past, but some people may remember me as "JBOGames" or "DragonLunch" from NintendoAge, where I had many many transactions, all with positive feedback. I'll be adding more items to this page as time goes on.

Switch Games: All games in this section come with whatever inserts they originally had when I bought them new, but the games are not sealed.

I wouldnt go as far to say " eBay will do nothing for you".

Considering I don't remember the last time I paid someone with an actual check or cash on eBay. It has either been a debit or credit purchase.

I made several purchases on eBay in which I could not reach the seller and I never received the Item I paid for. I had to open a claim with eBay and eBay then help me get my money back because the seller did not communicate with me at all.

Yep, eBay has helped me as both a buyer and a seller in different situations.

Not sure if PayPal and eBay are a  partnership anymore. But I could be wrong. Recently I noticed that eBay fees and payments are done without PayPal.

That is correct. None of the payment was handled by Paypal. And I worded things the way I did for a reason, saying “a little more security “. Because the seller protection isn’t the best, but it is something. I have had eBay support me as a seller in the past, so I didn’t lose out on money. On NintendoAge in the past I have seen people lose out, and really there was nothing that could be done. If it was my own item, I would have sold it here and taken a slightly larger risk, but that wasn’t the case.

I had reached out to him back in December to let him know that if he was ever interested in selling it, that I’d be more than willing to work out a deal with him. He said he was keeping his copy for good. All of a sudden, it’s sold on eBay a few months later lol.

It was my daughters decision. And because I was selling it for her I wanted a little more security, that eBay offers. Didn't want the process to take too long so I just put up a high buy it now, with offers open, so it would sell fast, but interested buyers would have a ballpark idea of what we were looking for. Something will be going back to a community member as soon as the payment is processed.

Just checked it out on YouTube again, my copy is still in the states indefinitely.

Is the game really so difficult? Unless the controls are piss poor, it looks really simple to me.

It controls a lot like Balloon Fight, which I find fun to control. Its flying momentum based controls. It gets difficult when there are a lot of enemies on screen and a lot of projectiles. Similar to some shoot em ups, getting power ups and holding on to them is very important. The longer the wave goes on, it seems the more enemies keep coming. Most of the enemies will try to stop you from just flying past them, so you really have to deal with them asap.

I like how people rave about how good a game it is when really no one gets past the first 2 stages.

Like, is it that good of a game then? I played the shit out of it when I had my and never beat the 3rd stage. Isn't part of being a great game having a realistic difficulty curve?

Hot take: over priced and over rated.

As far as Star Keeper, I really enjoyed the game. I got to stage 4. The challenge is what makes it fun. Overall I probably only spent a couple hours with the game. Initially getting past the second wave in stage 1 was hard, but the challenge is fair, so it makes you want to keep coming back for more. If the game was mine, I wouldn’t have sold it. Its kinda like Ninja Gaiden, a difficult game, but it feels rewarding. Im sure I could have beaten Star Keeper if I had played it more. The overall presentation of graphics and sound is quite nice. Theres also a pretty broken power up that shoots in 4 directions, that can help you get pretty far if you hang on to it.

It probably wasn't on eBay for very long. If I had to guess maybe a day or less. But really I have no clue. It is one of the custom text editions. (Not the LE numbered)  Wish I knew what it sold for..assuming someone didn't just "Buy it Now"

It sold for $1000. I plan on making a video about why it was sold, But long story short, it was a gift for my daughter and she ended up not enjoying it and would rather have some other things.

Interesting. I had it down as 16 GEs, 100 LEs, and 6 that had no edition.

You are more knowledgeable than me on the topic. I was just going by what I read in the thread so far. I thought it said 3 GEs went out, with one those being a confirmed NA member. Maybe more went out after that? And so far from what I read, #1-100 were all LE with the first 20 being custom text. I dont know about non editions.

I believe this is what you're after.  @majestyzxobtained one.  Not sure if any other NAers did.

Thank you. I guess I meant I was looking for the person who gave me their LE text. I forgot what the different versions were. @neodolphinowas the person who was so gracious to me.

  11. Does anyone have a list of the NA buyers. I found a link to the sale page, but it is broken now. Id like to remember who let me have their Limited edition. I was too late to secure one, and someone else on NA offered to trade their limited edition spot for my standard edition  spot.

I've done a bit more digging.  I can't help you on price, but I did find someone did bother to scan every page, even the in/outside covers of the thing.  I hope it's one of those things where you can pay $5 or $50 for it depending on when it appears as it's entirely awful and unhelpful in every way possible.  I'm not sure what SNK was thinking other than an easy cash grab since there was no online then.

Oh yeah, I have it on my iPad. But Crystalis is my favorite game of all time. I have everything you could imagine owning for the game... even a cardbord cut out from a pudding box. I just want one for my Crystalis mini collection.
