Hey I know you’re not a fan of making offers but I just want you to know no offer is to low. I won’t get offended and I will counter politely.

River City Ransom, and the Dogbone controller, $20 shipped. Cool, thanks! Fins up!

I'll also throw in an extra $20 for Felix. That doubles my original purchase price!

Does anybody have any recommendations for an xbox360 controller?

The official Microsoft controller has a shit d-pad.

I bought a used aftermarket controller and after a couple weeks of use the left stick shit the bed.

I am looking for a quality controller with a useable d-pad that won't break after several hours of use.

What games are you playing on the xb360 that have you wanting a better DPad?

The biggest issue with the controller were the bumpers that I had to replace after several years.

    It's all about maximizing profits.

One of them around here is referred to by some as Bloomingdales because it's ridiculously expensive. We tried picking up some holiday decorations for work and everything was very expensive. Xmas stockings? $10 Any outdoor decoration, $30+ (similar ones at Home Depot etc were going for about the same or less). Thankfully not all locations are like this, but it does make you wonder about their pricing differences and all that.

They beat an 8-3 team with their 3rd string quarterback.  I'll take it.  Anyone would.

3rd? Who's the second? That guy you all started and lost early in the season? Yea, Purdy at this point is 2nd. Oh wait, now a starter thanks to a broken foot! Enjoy the win!

Tua did not look great but getting beat by a backup in embarrassing when your supposed to be a top team. Brock Purdy really did look good though but running a shanahan can be done by any competent QB.

Great way to just put down your own point. You're also talking about a team familiar with the offensive scheme (DUH), a defense against an offensive line that has injuries as well as homefield advantage and home cooking with the refs. Get real man. Same as how the Dolphins beat up an injured Bills team, there's not much to celebrate about beating a roughed up Dolphins team. I'm not big on the Dolphins being ranked so high in the power rankings. The defense, again, has been just suspect. Mind you, this is a defensive squad that was working better than not with a rat of a coach.

    I'll do it.

Hottest team in the league in town?  MVP candidate?  Coach of the year?  Top offense?  Down to our third QB?

Dolphins defense has been suspect all year and it's only getting worse. I was worried the McOffense hadn't changed enough to face the 49ers. 175 yards of offense almost closing the 3rd quarter, just sad.

Kids aside and I'm being salty, it's not always the job of the studio or the in this case game developer to pander and kiss the ring of a small pack of overly entitled grown manchild nerds either.

Stepping away from it for a second, what if they left in Martinet with the existing cast?  Sure the vocal minority of grown babies probably would be happy, but it would be utterly jarring.  You have this perky peppy wee hee wooo hoo borderline racist late 20th century racist italian stereo type voice babbling on and on, everyone else kind of just fits the face and sounds like a solid performance.  It's just weird.  I mean hell, Luigi isn't getting any whining... why?  He doesn't even sound italian really in that clip you get with Bowser, double standard much?  What about the overly cute toads not sounding like they gargled on some overly cute raspy rocks like in the past games or cartoons?

I get some people are just stuck in their ways, and I think it's specifically directed at taking cheap shots at Pratt for whatever the motivation, but it's not bad.  I've see some whine he doesn't specifically do his woohoo or pitch right, funny, that little mario karting hop at the end sure as hell nailed that.  Just because he doesn't sound like someone kicked mickey mouse in the nuts on pasta night doesn't mean it's a bad voice.  I'm both not and am shocked at the utterly disgusting and immature repeated comments I'm seeing on social media about it.  This shouldn't be divisive, this isn't some weird Sonic moment where they basically just slapped some random head on there and thought it was smart.  Mario looks right, reacts right, sounds right too as far as how the accent and tone should be from well... Brooklyn, NY with italian ancestry.

I'm sure I'll catch some flack for this post, but it's not changing, people need to get over it, to re-cast this now would cost a lot of money to appease what... far less people than Sonic ever would have.  And it makes me lean hard against something Nintendo formerly was steadfast against for years, and still partly is so, NOT putting voices to their characters despite a mountain of bitching to do it...ie: LINK.  They always come back that no one will be happy, everyone has expectation, we can't do it because how people will behave.  This, THIS shit..that's validating why he's a mute in a game franchise full of rambling characters.

It's an animated movie with a main character that doesn't sound animated. That's what the fuss is about.

Home inspection are helpful in that they can catch shit that can be real pain to fix or costly.

Unfortunately, they can't catch everything, so it's always nice to have some $ set aside for repairs.

Think about if you have to replace the fridge, washer/dryer, or other very large items.  How easy is it to get those thing in given the size of door frames and moving around stairs.  There is a reason why we got a "free" fridge in the basement and why the next owner of our house will get a deep freezer in the basement too.  Shit is FUCKING HARD to get down into the basement and I'm sure as shit not going to try and go against gravity to get it out.  I don't even want to think how difficult it would be to get the washer or dry replaced.  My buddy had a queen sized box mattress that would not fit up the stairs to the second story where the master bedroom was.  He cut it up thinking it could be repaired/rebuilt once upstairs.....NOPE.

100%. Hiring someone for stuff like this works wonders. It may not be cheap, but it's better than fussing about with it with your significant other lol

Hurricane Fiona hit Nova Scotia not too long ago.

I know, but it probably doesn't happen often. I'd rather play it on the safe side and be prepared. Hurricane impact windows around here are roughly 20k installed. They are energy efficient, can reduce outside noise and honestly look cool. They can also help some on reducing insurance costs, but I don't know how that works up there. Either way, if hurricanes are on your mind, do some research and see what's available and if anyone else actually uses impact windows or other methods such as shutters or accordion shutters.

Not sure how things are up there but down here in the US electricity and gas prices are through the roof. I’d be on the lookout for something with the most efficient heating and cooling systems known to mankind with double pane windows that are newer. Rooms can be painted and carpet can be changed but HVAC is generally there to stay. Make sure you go to the house at a couple different times of the day and just sit there and see what goes on. I’ve learned over two houses going there for 30 minutes to look at a place doesn’t really give you a picture of the community. Try not to skip a home inspection if at all possible, since we down here at least are swinging back to a buyers market it shouldn’t be an issue. Be realistic if you’re going to try and buy a fixer upper or a “project” about how much you’re willing to do because even houses that are turn key are going to have maintenance needed. Make a list of what you really want and then what you are willing to budge on because no house is going to be perfect. The amount of things you aren’t willing to budge on will make it all the harder to find a place. If your buying for the long term, then think long term when buying; kids, pets, whatever else life might throw your way. Create a realistic budget and don’t stretch yourself thin if something job wise happens, just because you can afford a million dollar house doesn’t mean you should buy one.

Good luck and enjoy the experience!

To add on to this, drive by the area of the home you are looking at during the day/night.

Look at traffic patterns in the area... just because you don't drive it doesn't mean it won't be a headache when trying to get things delivered or taking public transport. Look at what transport is in the area.

Schools, hospitals, things to do, trails/parks, shopping, stores, libraries.

I know you don't get hurricanes up there, but look into what "bonus" features come with every home and what they would be worth if you wanted to add them on your own. For us, hurricane impact windows were something we wanted to come with the home already. Fireplace, basement, attic space. So much to look into. Parking spaces even.

Many things to consider, far too many to list.

Weigh the different features of homes that you are interested in and don't be afraid to look at homes you don't think you will like. You never know what the "non preferred" homes may have that you weren't thinking of before and vice versa.

Look up homes using realtor apps, Zillow, Realtor and even realty websites as sometimes they post on one or all, sometimes they only post on specific ones.

If you have the time, go to open houses and look around homes. Listen to what other people are saying during open houses to get ideas on what could be done to the home etc.

Enjoy the journey even though there will undoubtedly be frustrations along the way. Don't become attached to any single home. When you see the home you know you want, shoot your best offer. Don't regret putting an offer that you will regret or second guess. If they pass, try to move on and look for the next one.
