so i bought it for good price.  but im not sure if i want it.  game n watch never appealed to me alot so i might sell it.

mario kart 64 nfr is 299.99  theres some damage to the top of the mk64 label  but it kind of blends with the cloud textures.

mario tennis nfr is 199.99  label has some light wear  but over all great shape.

both tested cleaned and working.

ill have some better pics up later.  shipping and full insurance is free.

ive never seen  a game n watch like this before.  its in excellent shape.  no battery damage  no yellowing  minimal scratches. i ordered some batteries  to see if it works or not.  a friend got this at the fea market for 5 dollars  if he reasonable i might get it.  i just gotta find out if it works.

thanks to a few users that confirmed this i finally figure out why the mario voice cuts off.

the 104  (100K) pot for the voice delay  installed at the factory is too small.  apparently early models of the kiosk the wrong pot was installed.

so by swapping out the 104 pot to the 105 (1M) pot  the voice will now play all the way though and longer  since the value is x10 higher than a 104 pot. 

ive also come to the conclusion  that the mario chip does not fail,  its actually inexperienced users that don't understand out the board works.

there is a jumper that if removed, will disable the timer reset and mario chip.  the other reasons it might not work is the voice volume being turn down  or  in my case the wrong pot installed.  so to any of you owners of the n64 kiosk i hope this helps answer some questions.  heres a picture i did telling what does what.  and just fyi never plug your speakers in to the fan connector it will blow them.  and the one line is an unused bass connector.

out of all of you i probably have the smallest set up lol.   i mainly use it for virtual boy repairs.  but i some times use it for recaps and mod chip installs.

its got a nice view though

after a month an 1/2  i finally got this thing restored as best i can.  lots of work  i still have a few issues to fix but its over all working.

its running off  5000k led bulbs now.  no more florecents.   cooler and safe on the plastic. the balast was blown on the lower light so i bypassed it with a direct connect led light.  with a custom cable i made using a ps1 AC cable lol. 

the bass audio wasnt working right but after the recap its working correctly now. the sound system board has been recapped with japanese caps.  the mario voice chip works  but it wont play all the way though even with the delay pot set to max.  i know the chip works  cause when i speed it up it plays all the way.  i tried a new timer chip and it still didnt fix it so either a bad resister or ceramic capacitor.  or maybe the pot is bad i dont know...

the rubber mat and controller holder has been dressed with water based tire rubber protection  to prolong its life.  i fixed the hole in the mat with black tape  and elmers glue.

the dome was pretty scratched up so i got a 30 dollars cheap car buffer  and plastic polish  to  make it look alot nicer.  i couldn't get the deep scratches out but its better than nothing.  i did try ultra fine sand paper which worked but  getting the fine scratches out left by the sand paper was way too hard so i didnt bother with the rest.

the board has a 40mm usb fan on it to keep it cool  i also replaced the main cooling fan with a noctura 80mm fan cause the original fan was noisy  and the bearing were starting to go  i made a custom cable  to connect to the board  and to make it easy to replace with another 3 pin computer fan if necessary.

i replaced the power strip inside the unit wit ha new one.  the old one isnt grounded so i put a grounded one in  with a much shorter cable.  its a basic GE 6 plug power strip  no protection.  (i have a surge suppressor connected outside the unit)

i found a identical tv that came with the kiosk originally  its a philips 20in PA5202  crt TV  im looking to see if i can another domed n64 foil sticker made to place over the top of the philips logo to make it look official.  tbh i prefer the consumer version of the tv since i can run the n64 on the s video port.  the tv was damaged in shipping.  but i was able to fix it.  and the damage wasnt bad thankfully.

the lock was replaced  with a 7 pin tubular lock cause the original lock was damaged  getting the original 8 pin lock off with out drilling or damaging the unit took 6 hours

btw getting this thing  up stairs was  so hard XD it took a few family members and taking the thing partially apart to get it up here lol.  if there ever a fire this thing will go down with the ship so hopefully that doesn't happen...

btw i kept all the original parts  working or not.  theres is a few parts missing but nothing too noticeable  im going to see if a metal maker can recreate one of the parts  a bracket for the controller

im just glad i got this  like ive said  ive been waiting one of these for a very long time.

i will have a more detailed video regarding how i restored this  and how to care for it in the future.  i hope you like it

a few weeks ago i went to vegas and picked up a full size n64 kiosk.    when i got it  there was no key to open it and the lock was dammaged  so i found anather way.   i took the security screws off the side  and with some copper wire  went through a hole in the back to pop the latches for the lock.  (took 6 hours)  once open  first thing i check was the main board for the sound.  at first it didnt work.  but after a cleaning with contact cleaner a few times i got it to work.  the mario talking chip does work  but the delay doesnt go all the way (no matter where the delay pot it set to) and it cuts off half way  i know its not the mario chip since you can change the voice speed and it will play all the way if set faster.  i think the timer chip is failing or a bad cap might be the the issue.  the bass speaker has a muddy sound which ive confirm is not the speaker  but an issue on the mainboard. (pots have been oiled and board reflowed)  again  i think its a bad cap so gonna  recap the whole board

the balast that powers the curricular florescent  under the n64 doesnt work so i got an led equivalent  and am just gonna bypass the ballast via custom wire im going to make.  amazingly the balast on the upper logo light works so that was upgraded to balast compatible led lights  and man are they bright.

everything is powered by a 15 ft power bar  non grounded.  im replacing that with a grounded verison cause some of the thing do require ground just to be safe.  im also adding in a usb powered 60mm fan under the board to keep it cool.  ive already buffed the plasic done but plan to get a car buffer waxer to get it even nicer shine to it.  and some screws are missing so those will be replaced.  im also looking for a simlar tv to place on top  since the one that came with it is silver and doesnt quite fit the area.  (any one got a 19in crt samsung or sony to purchase?)

so i got my work cut out for me.  im just hoping that i can fix the issues with the board.  other than the mario chip, every component on that board is stock and replaceable.

anyways if you read my boring post i hope you enjoyed seeing this in pieces lol.

just got these in the mail from the same guy i bought the n64 kiosk and neon nintendo sign.  i got them both for 1100.  there both in outstanding shape the test cart is mint! and the disc has a few very minor scraches  but doesnt effect functionality.

i actually already have the snes test cart  but my version has a purple label  which i beleive is more rare than the greyscale label  but both carts are identical program wise  (i dumped and check them in a hex editor)

im not sure if i want to sell or just keep it  since there both that same program wise.  never the less  ive always wanted the greyscale one lol.

ive also included a pic of al lthe test cart i currently have.  and yes i have 2 of the control deck test carts too ones grey wile the other is yellow

thank you.  i rented a large suv  and hauled it back from vegas along with a neon nintendo autorized repair center sign.

my ceiling just barely clears  this stupidly tall kiosk.  by 1 inch lol.  its missing the key so i had to order an 80 dollar lock pick just to open and code a new key for it.

btw nice choice  of game to display

this kiosk is so tall is just barley clears the ceiling  by a inch and 1/2.  im gonna have to re arange the room a bit to make it all fit though.

i drove 500 miles to vegas to get these and paid a pretty penny.  ive been actually eyeing these two item for years  but they wernt for sale at the time.  i even got a bonus.  the guy gave me a nes dogbone controller CIB  and the bx was great shape too!

im so extatic i finally got these ive been wanting a n64 kiosk for many years cause out of all the kiosk it looks like a space ship on chop sticks.

it does need some work and unfortunately doesnt have its original tv.  but im going to try to track down another.  i know its a samsung branded tv with a n64 logo on the front.  im also aware the mario voice commonly goes out on these.  since the key was lost  it could be the volume knob for that is turned down.  so im hopping that it works but if it doesn't its no big deal.

im going to recap it  buff the dome  of the scuff marks,  pick the lock and get a new key made,  replace the n64 controllers with mint oem controllers  replicate the n64 sticker thats missing  on one of the controller arms  possibly update the lights to LED florescent equivalent lights, replace the cooling fan with a noctura silent fan and  a general cleanup.

the sign is in great shape the neon comes right on  no flicker or dullness  the only issue is the the corner  has some lifting so i'll just glue that back down. and dust it off. 

im looking in to possibly getting a n64 kiosk  i was  wondering if any one that owns one know its height and width so i can see if it will fit in my SUV.

also does any one know the going rate for these things are?  the guy wants 3500  for it  its in great shape but  its TV has been replaced.

any info would be appreciated.
