  1. Hey guys! Got a favor to ask. Sorry if this is in the wrong spot. 😅

Some of you may remember me from NintendoAge as the dude who made hi-rez label art from craptacular ones.

Got a fellow member here looking for particular one I've made from that site, and that's the Drac's Night Out label I redid. It was a very clean version of the original label.

Situations arose to where I cannot provide that label for this person, mostly covid-related, and without getting into too many specifics, I pretty much don't have anything to my name anymore, including all my art.

With NA no longer around, getting this piece of art is proving to be very difficult. I was wondering if anybody still has that label art saved and would please provide it here or in a message for me? I would really appreciate it. 😊

OMG Thanks! That was quick! Wow, it's been a very long time since I've done this, this piece actually was made way before I even had a drawing display. 😅 Very rough around the edges. lol

But, case closed now. Leaving the image here for anyone else who wants to use it.

  2. I still have mine stored away somewhere. Never got to play it since it only really works on official Nintendo consoles, most NES stuff I play on his on clone consoles.

I do recall something funny in the manual. There is a description to where one of the enemies "shits" on you. To read such a curse word in a Nintendo video game manual just cracks me up. 😆

  3. As the title reads. I mostly need the info on the limited edition clear blue one with the stand, coin, keychain, etc.

The original went for $80 off the website, and there's one on eBay right now for about 400 something, but I need info for a sealed LE version.🙂

  4. Man... I don't own a switch yet, but these Joy Cons sound more "con" than "joy" (A little dad joke for y'all. lol)

But in all seriousness, I've held them before, and while not comfortable to use, being as small as they are, I'm not surprised that they'd break so easily with our large ape hands.

Steelbooks are dumb. Pay extra money for a tin case to hold the game when the plastic one works just fine? No thanks. The standard ones also match the rest of the collection every steel case just breaks the flow and drives the OCD nuts.

I'm not a big fan of them either. I get them through sheer obligation when plastic cases aren't a readily available option. Slip covers for them do help a bit (maybe), but plastic cases are the best.

I'd much prefer something that's easy to read on the spine, matches the rest of the collection and possibly a full colored manual included.

  6. Due to my current living conditions, I won't be able to play this game for a while. However, I did buy the physical version, so I'll have that waiting for me. 😊

The criticisms I hear are mostly nitpicks, from unbalanced difficulty spikes to not being able to pick up a health item while holding a weapon in the legacy control opinion.

However, that doesn't seem to bother me. Blaze looks like a damn SNACK, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

  7. I grew up on Atari, NES, then went full-on Sega. Never had any of the "luxury" consoles growing up, but there was always that "one kid" on the block that did.

Y'all know the one: that kid who was an only child and was homeschooled so their house always looked clean, had an upstairs AND ceiling fans... And here I am im my dark, small, cluttered house playing Genesis.

I can see above that there was an argument about the Saturn, which I had (and love to this day, my fave console), but as poor folk we could afford it, especially rent-to-own, so it wasn't that esoteric. But, to be fair, I was a Sega fanboy. 😛

How do you like her SNES look compared to her NES look?  And she is kinda cute 🙂

Haven't played the SNES one, so I'm basing her strictly on the cover of the NES box art (and not the actual character design, as depicted in the Japanese DQ games)

I do like her actual original look, as I do like Toriyama's artstyle, but the western-based Moonbrook was (and still is) the best IMO.

  9. I still feel that Star Fox on the Super Nintendo still holds up to this day. At least for me. Low polys and framerate don't bother me. I even like it better than the Nintendo 64 version, and I actually love the 64 version.

Also, I do not like Tifa's new look in the new Final Fantasy 7 remake. I feel that giving her stockings, shorts under her skirt, black undershirt... is kinda prudish.

  10. Hey, I want you guys' opinion on something.

I've made this argument/unpopular opinion on another forum, with one person saying that he wished people would buy groceries with their alcohol, and not just the alcohol itself, as it wasn't really an essential thing to get, and they'd risk getting the virus. Pretty understandable, people need to stay at home as most as they can.

My argument was that it was that I didn't care what people did with their money, and that people can go out and buy what they wanted to, even if it was a stick of gum. And the two main reasons why I said this is because our economy needs all the help it can get, and I have no say being that I am an essential worker staying at the store for more than 8 to 10 hours a day well they're quickly in and out of the store buying just that one non-essential item.

I feel that I'm a greater threat than anyone who's even there just to buy a magazine or something stupid. There's no way I can judge these people.

So what's y'all's take? Bottom line, as long as we're doing things sensibly, we should be okay, but I can't bring myself to shame some people (not the party-gorsers) out there who are trying to cope.

Stay safe.  This seems like an especially rough time to be in that situation.

And glad to see you around.

Thanks! Glad to see you around too, man!

Financially I should be okay, but I gotta watch what I spend. I got money from taxes and stimulus in my bank account (As well as my savings), so I should be fine. Watching the housing market right now too.

My day to day hasn't really changed much.  My wife's business is essential and she's still going to work everyday.  I work in construction and I go to work every day as well.  I don't understand how dentists aren't essential and liquor stores are, but no one asked me (nor should they).

I work at a liquor store, and from my understanding it's that liquor stores are considered "grocery" as the also sell items like water, ice, juice and of course 151 vodka to make sanitizer out of.

Dentists are open were I'm at, but I guess that depends on where we're from? I guess they're more susceptible to the virus, but isn't any essential worker? I dunno man, makes no sense to me.

  13. How's everyone holding up? (Long time, no see!)

I'm in between homes at the moment, without getting too personal, I'm living in the ghetto with my sisters. lol

I'm without a pc or gaming console right now, didn't want to bring them to give a place for roaches to stay in, so I'm just with my essentials, a drawing pad, and a phone. That means no more art covers and graphics for a while.

  14. The Untitled Goose Game seems harmless to me. It does what it sets out to do, and plays it safe by not going beyond what it is, and what it is to me is so obvious that it doesn't exceed any of my expectations.

So why does it have so many accolades? Maybe it's the simple graphics, short gameplay so it won't wear out it's welcome, cute goose who's also a a-hole... whatever the reason, it's giving something to the player that most games don't have while at the same time, it doesn't give what most games gives either. It's overrated because it's unconventional and for that it seems to stand out a bit. Doesn't make the game "good" or "bad", but imo just average.

As far as indie devs, every one is different. Being an indie dev myself, I can't speak for everyone, but not being backed financially or being told how things need to be done by a corporation gives that developer more reign to experiment or creatively try things out a little more unconventionally than their standard-setting counterparts.
