Sorry, I didn't pay much attention to what was going on here when I first posted, even though I think I know what's going on here. Can I see a photo of the back of the box? Balloon Fight and Gumshoe both have anomalies where they have a gloss sticker, 1 code variant and none of the other games do. If this one has a code on the back, it might be the third instance of this happening.

EDIT - never mind, I got photos from Heritage Auctions' website, why didn't you mention Wata removed the shrink wrap when they graded it? That pretty much solves it, the wrap was added afterwards.

Also, how did you get it into an auction so quickly? I sent games in May and they haven't shown up yet.

Not correct, I have multiple other gloss sticker with NES GP code on the back.

1985 date on the bottom and TM after Nintendo Entertainment System on the top line, confirmed third print. Super cool, probably the rarest print, I would say even harder to find than matte sticker. I'll buy it from you.

Uh sorry to burst your bubble here but NO!  That manual doesn’t go with that box, it’s been Frankenstein’d.  The TM after Entertainment is from boxes with TM on the front, 6th print and beyond.  The box appears to be 3rd print but that manual 100% did not come with it originally.  To be sure that box is 3rd print would really need close up clear photos of the top and front top where the sticker would have been to be sure.

Ok...fake picture hahaha...can you confirm that a 3 screw...round seal....athletic World simply does not exist?!!! I've never seen one and everyone I've talked to says they've never seen one...so if you say you've never seen one then it will come off my list and It will be one less cart to focus on 😁

For the specific cart variant that goes with Family Fun Fitness AW it does not.  It was so early.  I even have the Bandai internal paperwork with black & white original photos etc on them marketing this game.  See my IG…

Funny enough though watch out for the PAL version as they did get a round soq with the green series 1 label with 3 screw cart.

  4. 2 very nice overnight bounces for me I only share as one was video game history related.  Bought PONGF (Atari) yesterday.  10,000 at .50, sold today for .64 = $1,400 gain overnight not bad.  I also had a limit buy of 4,000 at 7.99 on OCGN in as it’s been falling since they announced their COVID drug results.  It filled yesterday and I sold out today at 10.45 got to 10.65 before it fell back to 9.60 by the close, but for me $9,840 gain overnight.  Fun when the market gives you gifts like these.

Been a little quiet in here.  I just came across this

    https://www.gameboxgods.com/

I don't know about boxes and what to look for. But the mindset of "Repros bad, original only" is a shrinking segment of people that buy classic games. A site like this wouldn't stay afloat if the average buyer cared. Regardless of what you think this hobby is moving or may already be to the same point of the classic car hobby. Numbers matching all original stuff will always carry a premium, but the average collector will have not much issue picking up this aftermarket stuff.

I F**king hate this, period.  Yeah you can tell looking at the flaps this is not correct, but average Joe gets fooled all day long with these.

Not me. I just held onto one share after the ridiculous ride up, to be legitimate party to any lawsuits that come out around the trading halt activity.  (but at a low enough cost basis that I don't mind holding that one share as a memento of the market mania)

And Jonas was out of GME before the last round of mania, anyway, so if you're looking to say "I told you so" to him, you're looking in the wrong place.

It was pretty interesting to see what lengths the hedge funds could go to, and who they were able to bring to their aid, to manipulate things from their end, and counter the mania-fueled run-up.

Wow stop being so bitter there Arch, again very disappointed in you.  Never my intention to say see I told you so.  I legit only ever posted in here to warn would be chasers that this was all just a flash in the pan and someone would be left broke at the end of the day.  Not singling out anybody.  Sad dude...

It's like attending a football game.  It's a much better experience gathering around the TV with your buddies and drinking beer, but stadiums still sell out and charge $10 a beer anyway.

I do believe there will be a bit of a yo-yo effect with people wanting to get out more after COVID.  AMC and the producers also are in cahoots and can work out licensing / distribution arrangements.  The willingness for big investors to put up capital also shows they do not want the theaters to die, and frankly I don't think they will.

Also, I can't remember if you have kids or not, but kids love the theater experience.  I'm actually not a movie guy at all really, but even I am willing to commit some of my personal funds in the turnaround story.  To each their own, but I don't see AMC as a death spiral.

Hadn’t considered the kid side Jone.  I don’t have any kids, I’ll give you that one.  I also think theatres, restaurants, etc will all see huge spikes once things open yes, it’s only natural.  People don’t like being held at home and told what they can and can’t do.  Heck my g/f has only been out of our house 7 or 8 times since last March as she has a lung issue.

Totally wrong on what may cause the demise of AMC IMO. Huge TV’s have been cheap for years. The biggest thing they may change things, is the push to release movies via streaming platforms.

Yep I’ve said that multiple times in this thread.  Movie theaters are going to go the way of the drive-in theatre soon enough.  Which is sad as I loved drive-ins too.

Yeah, AMC I definitely don't believe in long term for exactly those reasons.

HUGE TV's have gotten so ridiculously cheap that the need for a projection room has gone away and made it a lot more accessible (and less light-sensitive).

Exactly, personally I have blinds and then I have blackout curtains over those so I get no light issues.

Yeah I dunno, I liked AMC regardless of WSB at sub $5.  I knew to liquidate those shares I bought yesterday but I may look for a re entry after some stabilization.  I believe 100% returns in a day are off the table of course but I think it could still be a solid gainer depending on the entry point.  Will watch and see.

Highly doubt it, AMC’s demise has been hastened by COVID.  With super cheap flat screens and people having stimulus money to buy them and now with all the new streaming services and movies being available at home same time as at theatres, this thing is dead.  It pains me to say it man, I used to go to a movie at least once a week, I love the experience.  But now I’m like why go and pay to have someone kick my seat from behind and sit in front of me and recline.  Pay $10 for popcorn and $6 for a pop?  I’ve got an 86 inch flatscreen, surround sound, a pop fridge, snack drawer, and my own movie theatre popcorn maker with 3 kinds of butter in my man cave.  Obviously not everyone has the setup like I do, but you get my point.  Only time I’ll be going to movies is if there is a major event like an actually good Star Wars movie done by Lucas and Favreau comes out.

Look at the trade volume -- they can't hold up GME because they can't even buy it.

The next 36 hours are going to decide this one -- in terms of whether people are able to exercise their calls tomorrow which in turn forces the hedge funds that sold them to cover.

It’s over Arch.  News just reported one of the largest GME shareholders just sold out their entire stake.  There are always people late to the party who will buy and there are always people who have been at a party who don’t want it to end... but in the end, it will.

  12. Just as I said all along... burn baby burn.  Lawsuits will be filed as I stated on both sides.  When people are coming on CNBC bitching that the man is holding down the smaller man and forced Robin Hood to do this it just puts gas on the dumpster fire this all has been.  Seems to me like people were still trying to hold up GME as long as they could by dumping all the other crap companies like AMC they were moving to next to hold up GME but now that isn’t working either.

Just want to point out, that out of his $48 million, as of today's close, $13 million is ALREADY cash. 😉

Arch I’m disappointed in you man.  You almost seem to be idolizing this guy.  A blind squirrel finds a nut, but this seems to be a case of the top of the pyramid scheme making all the money like always happens before it all comes crashing down.  Things often don’t end well for those people either, SEC said it was watching all the craziness very closely, will be interesting to see what happens here.

Joke or not, there is real money to be made while hedge funds go bust from this.

Absolutely this is something crazy never seen before.  In fact I did say there is short term money to be made but man that rug will be pulled out from under people so fast they will crack their head open on the floor.

NAKD has been my biggest winner today. Running like crazy after hours.

So sad on that one.  My friend tried to get me to buy that one since mid last year it was at 10 cents forever.  I put in a buy for 100,000 shares at .066 cents and it got down to .07 but my order never filled.  Very sad now but nothing I can do about it.  He’s happy at least and I’m happy for him.

Good to see you grace this thread.  I remember my first losses trading stocks, ticker SOL back on NA and everyone had a good laugh at my expense.  Learned a lot about being able to read a chart and it has taught me well.

GME at $300, of course no one wants that long.  AMC at $15-$20?  Ehhh, you'd be surprised.  There is a lot of meat left on the bone here.  We either get some consolodation and channel for a few days or we jump again after hours and it repeats.

I know you've been doing this a long time, but simpliest things on a stock are price and volume.  Price isn't that nutty based on past data.  And volume?  Look at the volume!  It's engulfing, bullish and gap up and the sellers can't even force it below the halfway point of the day.  Party is just getting started.

You just proved my point that this is all a joke.  When everyone thinks they can get rich quick and I’m getting text messages from 20 different friends and family members asking me if they should by 10 shares of GME or $200 worth of AMC it’s gone too far.  This will all end badly... short term, yes I do think people will make quick money on AMC.  But that thing is dead man walking long term.  Make your money while you can.
