It's interesting how subjective difficulty can be.  Mike Tysons Punchout, to me, might rate a 5 or 6 (out of 10), and that's only because to this day I still struggle to time the bull charge from Bald Bull.  Tyson's a cakewalk.  First time playing the game though, I'd have said it was unbeatable, King Hippo being completely impossible.

Same here for Bald Bull and I can also walk through Tyson.

For me it was forgetting to punch him in the gut instead of the face.    First one is harder for me than the second, since on the second you can get him to only go halfway back and that's much easier to time.

    Ha!

Yeah it is sort of a low hover to guarantee enough space that neither my hand or my unit is making contact with the toilet.

And I have both an elongated bowl and round bowl (old house with a space constrained second bathroom) in the house, so I have experience with how much clearance exists in either case.

I just have a hard time imagining how, even with an elongated bowl, any man with at least a normal sized pelvis can sit and wipe without either putting their junk on the front of the seat or rubbing their hand and arm against the back of the seat.

Maybe there is some brand of oversized toilet seat I am not familiar with that makes this possible.

Or maybe other people simply find it less problematic to have their junk all over toilet seats during the wiping process 😛

At home, I don't care if my junk is on the seat.   In public I do though.

Imagine scooching forward enough that your junk is free swinging (so about halfway off the seat).  Then the slightly raised squat and wipe.

By the time I'm ready to wipe there's no further piss danger.

I mean, you kind of squat-stand so that you can lean forward and have full access.

    You don't stand up straight-legged.

But staying seated, I just don't get the ergonomics of sticking your hand behind your butt and below seat height.

And I am a fairly thin guy.

Seems fundamentally impossible that an overweight person could manage it seated.

SO WHO'S THE FREAK NOW???!?!?!?!??!?!    🙂

I am, well, not a fairly thin guy.   I think I do something similar to you, just I end up staying on the bowl instead of what sounds like your hover method.

There's leaning involved.   Do you really want a video?   That might be a hard sell to getting the wife to capture it.

Once I was post-puberty and my frame was adult-sized and big enough to cover a toilet seat... I don't understand how the ergonomics of wiping WHILE sitting could work for an adult.

    You scoot up to wipe.

Or sit backwards so you can set your sandwich and apple on the back part while you launch your sewer pickle.

    Hey captmorgandrinker,

A couple questions about this game.  I was unaware the game was buggy, or that it had been fixed, but a quick Wikipedia search mentions that the game will reset itself under some circumstances.  Is that the crash issue you're referring to or is there another bug?  Also, the bold end label copies I have are the '87 copyright while the thinner text versions have an '88 copyright.  Seems the fixed version would have a later date, doesn't it?

I don't think it got fixed until the late 80s; they may have just used a different copyright on the label.   Bold end labels are definitely fixed, so that makes me wonder if the '88 copyright ones are too.

I believe it crashes on Level 107.   Would take about a half hour or so on Easy if you just run to the ice cream cone.

Its awesome news and I plan to support it. I thought it was interesting when Mega Cat got Coffee Crisis on the eshop. Would that have been the first general retro homebrew on the Switch?

That was on sale for a buck earlier this week; not sure if it still is?

Our posts crossed in the ether so you missed my updated list. For reasons too complex to get into, I can't do any selling at the moment.

That's quite fine; I'm very grateful to have the info on more stuff to be on the lookout for!

I also have a couple autographed 7800 carts- Xenophobe by Brian Colin (great guy, he's been at MGC the last few years) and F-18 Hornet by Garry Kitchen after hearing his government story about it.

OK, I spent an enjoyable hour going thru 3 boxes of 7800 carts.  I've coded these as country of origin [HK=Hong Kong], end label style [standard=black text on gray/silver, red text = red text on silver, or white text on red], copyright date [the later date for games with two dates], and S or I for Straight or Italicized copyright text.

    Some observations:
The Taiwan games have a more silvery end label than those from other areas, but since it seemed consistent I didn't differentiate.
All the 3rd party titles seemed to have no variants, except Tomcat F-14 with the erroneous 2600 labels.
Tower Toppler was the only game I found with both red text and black text end labels
BallBlazer has both red-on-gray and white-on-red end labels

Woohoo!   I'll have to do some comparing.  I know I've never seen nor heard of a Tower Toppler with red end-label text.

Let me know if you happen to want to sell or trade any of the ones I don't have yet.

I'm not quite at that point, but as a non-insider, I can definitely understand that feeling.  With that said, my suspicions have been up since the beginning, with Jeff jumping the gun to plant his flag and try to lull everybody with corporate-smacking doubletalk before Dain even had a chance to make an announcement to anybody.  The lack of response directly to members and the reports by the former (and present) staff continued to color my opinion of them.  I really want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the more time passes, the harder and harder it becomes to do, especially since everything that actually does come out has such a high level of polish on it (whether well done or not) that it's seems like they could be answering questions much more frequently and doing more caretaking of the place, they just aren't.  Balance that against posts asking honest, but sometimes critical questions disappearing without a word and it's not too hard to reach the conclusion that they just don't care.  I wouldn't say that's a totally foregone conclusion at this point (as they did step in yesterday to put their foot down about folks spamming about this place, which is a fair point and reaction), but where there's smoke...

...they're trying to blow it up your ass in this case.

From seeing the staff side of it both before I stepped down and some of the things I've been privy to after, I don't care for anything the new-NA stands for.  I get that they're for profit and all, but either give a shit about the place or don't instead of half-assing (or in their case maybe one-sixteenth-assing?) everything there.

  10. Just an extra reminder- try to have some class upon your exit over there and not be too dicky on your way out.

It's okay to let people know where you're heading, but let's not shit all over a bunch of threads there.   They do still have people that plan on staying there, and that should be respected at least (even if you have zero respect for the new owners like me).
