You're not alone. There's about 50 Switch games I'd rather buy than Pokemon, including Dragon Quest XI. I'll never catch up, unless I call the Switch the end of the line for me as far as consoles go. Which I might.
Honestly, with so many interesting games coming out for Switch- I’m not sure I’ll ever need to buy another console again.

Pretty recently I found a boxed copy of this at a game store- never seen it before boxed or loose and just had to pick it up:

Also, not proud of it but in an honest moment I'd tell you I'm disappointed/jealous that I've apparently been collecting wrong the last 18 years. I say that with a bit of sarcasm but it's absolutely true in this new market. I think that jealousy, lack of foresight, or whatever fuels a lot of the hate. I've probably had 10 sealed Zelda's in my collecting journey and only kept 1, had dozens of chances to buy sealed black box games and own 0, been on forums with Bronty, Qixmaster, and DreamTR for almost two decades and can't retire lol. But at the end of the day I love the stuff I have and the memories this hobby has given me, and me being right or wrong about my opinions above won't change any of that.
I'm not sure if jealous is the right word for me, but if I could do it again I definitely would have done a lot of things different. I couldn't really afford it then, and can't really afford it now- but it is interesting to think about and I would have made it work somehow. I'm sure most collectors (maybe of anything) feel that way. I think the important thing is to be able to enjoy what we do have and be able to look back on our past hunts and finds with good memories, even if we wished things were like they used to be.

I'd love to do the Turbografx set minus Magical Chase but working on other systems never really allowed me to get too deep into it. I would go CIC on it and forget the boxes, and probably loose on the most expensive things. I have about 25% of the library in various forums of completeness, so if prices ever come down a bit I may work on it after I finish everything else.

Thanks for posting that site, picked up a few Euro exclusives.
Speaking of which, anyone have an updated list of all European retail exclusives? If not I can see about updating the list

I like rinky dink hobbies just fine (as I add to my growing Christmas light empire).
I agree to this, because they are usually more fun. When things start to get serious, things usually get a whole let less fun. Which is how I feel about all of this.
I'm curious as to how many collectors actually collect sealed games, I'd guesstimate it being in the single digits.

My local shop got a loose GBC Shantae with a faded label. The sticker says $500, which is a little above FMV, but a year ago Shantae was going for $250, and that was a big deal.
Wow, what happened with this one that it jumped in value so high? I understand that this game is in demand and not easy to find- but I don't think a loose game has spiked like that in a long time. For me- the last 3 SNES games for my set: Speed Racer/Mountain Bike Rally, Super Star Fox Weekend, and Donkey Kong County Competition would be amazing to own. I wish I could have afforded to buy them back when they were only a few hundred bucks.

If I could choose any one machine to have right now it would be Indiana Jones: The Pinball Adventure. I like the playfield and the machine itself looks amazing

I feel terrible only remembering 36 of them. So many I just blanked on. I totally forgot all of the rare stuff like Rad Racer and Cobra Triangle

Forum looks great, thanks to everyone on getting this rolled out. Can't wait to see what the future holds! Forums are not dead!
